Great fit but pricey
This is the original schlage replacement strike plate. But I needed the brass one, which is pricey. The brushed one is much less money, but I needed brass to match my doorknob set. Great product even with the price. Couldn't find them anywhere else!

Worked perfectly!
It worked perfectly. I bought it to replace the old one which is missing the black plastic piece in the middle. Wish the manufacturer has the black plastic parts available to sell, instead of buying the whole thing end up wasting the mental parts.

Difficult to find replace part
While correcting the work the prior owner of our townhome had done, we discovered that the strike plate was missing for a door that we re-installed. This part was used throughout the townhome, but was only available by special order at all of the local big-box and small hardware stores at a high price plus shipping. A quick check on Amazon located this replacement at a slightly lower cost and as Prime members no shipping. The part is from a different manufacturer than the others, but fit perfectly and is not observably different when installed.

Plastic tab ruins great strike plate.
I had to pick one of these up because the black plastic tab broke. Unfortunately, they don't sell replacement plastic tabs. You have to buy the whole thing. I can't give it 5 stars because of this. If they were not all done like this through out the house I would go with the strike plate that doesn't have black tabs. I would not pick them out intentionally if I was building a house. The least the manufacturer could do would be to sell a 10 or 20 pack of replacement tabs. Replacing the whole brass part is just a waste because of a cheap plastic tab.

Its a perfect fit to replace my old round strike plates. No door frame alterations needed.

Double check the screws or have extra screws on hand this product came with small screws that did work for my door had to use different screws
