Braun CruZer6 Body Trimmer with Gillette Fusion Razor Blade

It's okey for a man to do a little manscaping in the 21st century. I'm a man with youthful looks with the hair growth of a person from Southern Europe. I've previously used Philips Bodygroom Pro for my back and other areas (I probably use these trimmers on more areas than others). While I do like the Bodygroom Pro, it's not good for certain areas. It shines when trimming beards or neck hair. However, I find it does not work well when trimming back hair or hair in areas where extra precision is required. One day I saw the CruZer 6 Body here in Amazon and, at first, thought it was a gimmick (combining a trimmer with a Gillette Fusion blade) and kind of cheap looking. However, Amazon had an amazing deal on it so I ordered it. First of all, the CruZer is very ergonomic (it's thinner than Bodygroom Pro and thus has better maneuverability). I love the shower hanger case (the Bodygroom Pro stand is a bit clumsy and bulky). The performance is much better on body hair in general than with the Bodygroom Pro. I use the '2' setting (trimmer+blade) the most as it trims longer hair off nicely and finished the shorter ones with the blade. The '3' setting (blade only) is handy for areas requiring maneuverability and precision. Moreover, I find that when the blade is extended (setting '3') you get a better reach than with a regular Gillette Fusion shaver. I rarely use the '1' setting as the Bodygroom Pro is a better regular trimmer. You also get attachments with the CruZer 6; long, medium and intimate. These attachments work much better on long body hair than the Bodygroom Pro attachment.I would recommend the CruZer 6 to anyone who wants (or should I say dares) to do a bit of manscaping. I wouldn't call if a Jack-of-all-trades as it bests the Bodygroom Pro only from shoulders down. You shouldn't be worried about the Fusion blade as it's quite safe to use (even on intimate areas) just as long as you keep your skin even and not wrinkled (although some of us cannot help the wrinkles).

To be frank, its hard to find a good all over body shaver that actually does what it’s supposed to and doesn’t cut the b*lls off of you. I purchased this to replace my Phillips Bodygroom which had serious battery issues. After much research and not wanting to take out a mortgage to buy one of the madly expensive ones, I settled on this one. I was drawn to it as it has the trim/shave dual system and is compatible with Gillette razor blades. Too birds, one stone. However, I wasn’t convinced it would be good all over the body as the head is actually quite small/narrow in comparison to other trimmers. But I am not overly hairy so thought I’d give it a go.Firstly, the trimmer itself feels like good quality and has an air of ‘multi purpose Swiss Army knife’ about it. A simple three blade guard system (1-3) and the detachable shaver/blade on the back . One swipe and you both trim and shave at the same time - although I’ve yet to try this myself, so I am basing my review purely on the trimming aspect.Speaking of which it trims surprisingly well for a narrow shaver. However it does require a little mor effort to get every hair as sometimes you have to go over the same spot a few times. Not a deal breaker as I have yet to find a shaver that doesn’t require this. So far, I haven’t nicked/cut myself at all in those ‘sensitive’ areas so that’s a major plus for me and less of a worry now.Value wise, you are getting a complete kit here - extra Gillette blades (which you can use on your normal face shaver instead) a carry case and shower caddy (yes it’s waterproof too btw). For the price, this is an absolute steal and although I gave four stars, I still think it the best out there so far. I will say though, I use this on my small amount of body hair as I am a swimmer, but if you are overly hairy forget about it as I don’t think it will be tough enough for those really hard jobs. Otherwise, you wont be disappointed.

I have tried a lot of different methods of trimming ‘down there’ and on most occasions I have at best ended up sore, or worse bleeding! This trimmer is outstanding! So easy to use and comfortable. I used the medium comb first and then the small one. The end result is great. I would recommend this trimmer to anyone!

Works well

I’m far from being a hairy bloke. Clearly I managed to avoid the Wookie gene. In any case my Mrs has been going on for ages about how nice it would be if I shaved my crack, sacks, pubic area, belly and chest.With all the hot weather recently I finally decided to give it a go and last Sunday morning sneaked into the bathroom to sort things out. This was before I’d bought this piece of kit. Hmmm! Things didn’t go that well. When the initial application of Nads (basically a version of Veet for Men for cowards - so a slightly less dangerous form of Napalm) didn’t do the job I applied a second thicker handful to my balls and man minge. After in total 13 minutes of discomfort (the makers recommend no more than 5) my balls were sorted though swollen to the size of those giant beef tomatoes and were the same colour as the fruit! There was still a lot of hair elsewhere so I got to work with the razor.By the time I’d had enough (I’m pretty stoical, but have my limits) I was raw, sore and walking like John Wayne.I decided to order the Cruzer to sort out my belly and chest hair and keep things under control down below. Frankly I wish I’d waited and ordered this before the whole painful episode.It arrived a day early and yesterday having read the instructions (I’m a man so shame on me) I applied shaving gel to my torso whilst in the shower and got to work. In a short time the Cruzer had removed all the hair with no chaffing or pain and I’d tidied up around my balls.This is a great piece of kit. Unless you want to put yourself through agony buy it and live pain free and hairlessly ever after.

Good little groomer works very well and easy to use.Was a little concerned at first if it could do all areas but it works fine.
