Love this shampoo!
This stuff works great! I love the black shampoo! it smells nice and is black just like my soul! lol It says it's part of a fade system, but I was just looking for a charcoal shampoo as it is my understanding that charcoal shampoo can help with debris and other product build up, I have been dying my hair with black box dye and after so many boxes, my hair was starting to feel thick and stiff and just nasty feeling, when I used the charcoal shampoo and conditioner my hair felt free, and soft! and it did not fade my black hair dye, which is great! I will definitely continue to use this, hopefully one day they make a bigger size!

Ordering again.
I love this shampoo and conditioner. The smell is pleasant. I have received multiple compliments that my hair looks shiny and healthy. I have had thinning hair over the past several years and I love the way my hair now feels like it has more life and body to it than before. I am beginning my journey of transitioning to my natural hair color and embracing my level of gray, and this product has helped fade my box dye (MR Barletta Brown) and let my gray shine through. I highly recommend giving it a try if you want to stop coloring your hair and have a gradual fade instead of a harsh regrowth line.

Good but
For reference: I have about 50-60% grey hair and my natural color is an ashy brown (I think. I haven’t seen more than an inch of it in the past 20 years!) I have been a box hair dye gal since high school. In the past three years, I cut off all my hair and switched between reds and black dye between trims and grown out periods. I live in a very dry climate and am that person with ten lotions and potions in their daily routine to stop being dry.Alright - ground work lain, let’s get to the product. Both shampoo and conditioner are dark from the charcoal and I’m thinking maybe a little purple/blue to combat brassy tones. From some of the reviews, I think this product has been confused with the color remover. This is a very gentle color remover, if it removes color at all. The success of this product obviously varies based on the color used, the porous nature of the hair when colored, and the time the color was added. My experience from four uses of the product:- smells nice- removed the brassy tones of my box colored red hair, blending my roots a bit more because my natural color is not drastically lighter or darker than the color I used last- made my white hairs more noticeable, even bring out ones I couldn’t see before- didn’t stain my white tile, though it was a fear- the conditioner didn’t make my hair soft like my usual- for my dry skin, the shampoo is drying on the scalp while leaving an unclean feeling to the roots. My scalp is itchy and after the fourth use, it was red. I added some skin oil to my scalp so I could sleep. If you wash your hair each time you shower or more than once a week, you may experience dryness and I suggest a good scalp oil if you intend to continue using each hair wash. I wouldn’t use this product alone, with my own hair, simply due to the residue and the lack of softness after conditioning.(A good scalp oil is suggested anyway - it’ll help as your hair grows out, keeping the shaft from becoming too brittle or dry)Overall, I’m not mad at the results. My scalp isn’t happy so I’ll change my usage of the product to a less frequent basis to brighten my greys as I grow out - at least until the product is gone. I probably won’t rebuy, it doesn’t tick all my boxes. There are blue and purple shampoos out there that remove brassy tones in white, grey, and color treated hair that don’t also leaving the hair feeling dry and without luster. And really, that’s all this product will do for permanent hair color.

Good in removing color
Like how it removed the color. But seems like it left my hair dry feeling.

Seems to help with blending gray
This product leaves your hair feeling very silky and conditioned. It does seem to help cover the gray as it’s transitioning from color treated hair. Would recommend.

Didn't Fade Permanent Dark Brown Color
I've used more than half of the shampoo and conditioner so far and don't see any fading at all. Maybe my permanent dark brown coloring is too deep to fade? I guess I'll have to go the route of using color remover with a toner because this product didn't work for me.

Didn’t fade the brown hair color at all
I’ve used the the go gray duo daily for weeks and my hair color has not changed at. As a shampoo/conditioner it was fine, but it did not help me in my transition to gray.

Time to go gray
These Go Gray shampoo and conditioner work great with the Go Gray revitalizing first. The shampoo and conditioner both have charcoal in them. This is a really good way to stay away from a salon and bleaching.
