Exactly what I needed
Used as the centre layer on a stacked cake as couldn't use cake as putting wire 'flower stems' into it.Worked really well

Not strong enough
It’s ok. It’s just a cylinder of packaging polystyrene. I pressed a cake dowl into it gently and realised it may not hold the weight of the layers above it so I’m using boards either side.
