Putting this set together brought up some deep memories of my old Tyco race sets. Track assembly isn't too bad, you have to make sure that you get the track ends matched up correctly so there is a smooth transition, or the car will get stuck. The guard rails are tougher to get snapped on, they are stiff plastic but they are mounted on the curves so you need to bend them while snapping them in place. The supports that elevate the track don't snap on like they did in the old days, so if the track gets bumped or moved you may have to fix their positions.You get four cars in the set. I have tested them all and there is one car that is slower than the others and I don't really know why. The others are plenty fast on the track. They can run a whole lap with the throttle down all the way without flying off the track. I wasn't expecting this, as the whole point is to have to control your speed to not crash. Wish they were a little faster. I've done plenty of adjusting of the car's brushes.Also, with the default layout that they have you build, one lane is on the outside of more turns, so all things being equal, the car in that lane will always get behind.

Overall good quality product and our 9yr old enjoys playing with it and product works as advertised and size is perfect for our living room. You do have to make sure to maintain the cars and track connectivity

Race track was fun for my 4 year old. Kept him busy for the first few days. Unfortunately a piece of the track came cracked so the cars get stuck on the cracked piece and dont run smoothly. Fairly easy to put together. I wish the pieces that hold the track up snap into place and didn’t fall off so easy. Wish the track was not as expensive. The cars need adjustment often to keep running but maybe it’s because of the crack. Otherwise my son thinks it’s fun.Update: Customer Service is great! They reached out to me to address the issue with the cracked piece. Definitely would recommend this toy for anyone looking for a race track for their kids!

I bought this for my 3 and 5yo grandsons for a second location. It comes with enough track to make different configurations. We made the one on the box. It comes with 4 different colored cars which is great. It started out fine. The cars were very fast which the boys loved. First day everything ok. Second day not so good. Two of the cars stopped working. Of the remaining two cars one worked fine and the other was sluggish which ended up with grabbing and tears. My husband tried to work on it but couldn’t get it working quickly. And then the boys lost interest. Unfortunately we were only with them a few days so the set went back in the box. No time to try to return before we left and no time to call customer service. So waiting to see how it works when we return. We were all disappointed.
