This simple but very effective remote control extender is quite amazing. I was initially a bit wary because it looks like a really simple piece of kit and it’s so cheap. But it works perfectly!I installed the IR receiver hidden out of sight under my audio sound-bar using the self-adhesive backing. The extender is powered from a spare 5 volt USB output on the uninterruptable power supply (my UPS battery backup) that powers my entire AV system. I fixed the emitters using their self-adhesive backing over the IR-receivers of my satellite receiver, Western Digital media player, Philips Blue-Ray player and Sony Bravia TV. It just needed a few moments of moving the emitters around in front each device to find the location of the IR-receivers. The cables were long enough to reach each device, and where necessary I split the pairs of cables – they are designed to control 4 separate devices, they’re not paired electronically.This remote control kit works so well that I am now able to control my AV equipment from anywhere in my large living room, even from the farthest-most corners. I am really amazed that it works so well.

Arrived very quickly, I am using this to get around my big cat as he sits in the way of the PVR recorder, works perfectly and very easy to install, the infrared lights come out of the holes in the mounting pads and the receiver sensor pickup is through the top, very powerful and it is possible to control more than one unit per IR transmitter if its stuck with the holes facing at least 6 inches/150mm away from the units

Range is not great, approx four feet, required to be above this range. However works fine with my Virgin box. Cheap to purchase.

We wanted to hide away our freeview box and amp within a cabinet but this posed the problem of them not receiving the commands from the remote controls. This worked exactly as we had hoped and everything looks so much tidier now. I think in total we used 3 of the emitters, and all 3 work perfectly in conjunction with each other.The only slight issue we found was locating on the freeview box and amp where the infra-red sensors were, because the emitter devices needs to be placed directly over the infra-red receiver to work. With a bit of trial and error we found them, this isn't the fault of the device but just something to make you aware of.

I bought this so I could operate my Humax box behind the doors of a wooden media cabinet. It was fairly easy to set up and get working on day 1. On day 2, it wouldn't operate with the emitter in the same place, but I was able to get it working by changing the position. On day 3, I couldn't get it to work in any position. So it's being returned, and I'm buying a more expensive one from a well-known brand, which hopefully will be more reliable.

This has worked perfect for me, I have placed the reciever just under my tv made sure the surface was clean and polish free and it's stuck and stayed exactly where I put it ,The best thing for me is due too the 4 repeaters I can operate all three components I have hidden away out of eye sight .Great value for money and works perfectly.One Tip for setup place your extenders with a little tape before using the permanent pads just to make sure it's in the best location for your hidden equipment to receive the signal.

Works very well when it is stuck to the device. But after a month it doesn't stick at all. Seeking warranty claim.

I bought this with the knowledge of previous reviews where people say you need to point remotes direct at the receiver. I find that I dont even need to do that. My sitting position is about 3m from the receiver and I can easily point anywhere in the room and these will still work. I'm amazed. For this money, this is a great product!!! I'm only using two of the four emitters but they stick well and work great.I have taken a star off because the ratio of emitter cables and receiver cable is wrong. I would welcome emitter cables to be much shorter while receiver cable a lot longer.
