I’m a big fan of this rod. I bought one for myself and liked it enough to get another for my dad. I have quite a few trout rods: a Phenix Feather, an Ugly Stik Elite, and I’ve owned two St. Croix Trout Series rods. I’d rank this one second after the Phenix Feather, but it costs much less. It’s very similar to the St. Croix in feel and performance, but both of my St. Croix rods broke within a few months, while this one has landed plenty of 18-inch trout without any problems. It’s sensitive, durable, and affordable. I’ve used it with three different light trout reels: a Pflueger President, an Okuma Helios, and a Shimano Sienna. It works great with all of them. For the price, it’s hard to beat and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a good trout rod without spending a lot. Only complaint I have is they ship it loose in a cardboard box, but it came undamaged both times, so not a big deal.

Let me start off by saying that I love the rod! It's super sensitive and feels great in the hand. I was less than pleased however with the shipping I was getting. They kept putting the rod in to short of a box so I got 2 delivered snapped clean in half! If you can find it locally I'd very much recommend buying it in person so you don't have to deal with broken rods like myself.

This is a very strong rod. I caught multiple double digit catfishes off this rod. 3-4lb bass. Paired it with 4lb mono, This rod bends but does not break. Best value for the money. Makes catching heavier fish that much more fun with this ultralight rod. My newest obsession. Catching double digits with an ultralight setup.

I purchased the Okuma Celilo Graphite Lightweight Ultra Light Freshwater Rod (CE-S-602ULb) for fishing, and while it looked beautiful and had great sensitivity, my experience was unfortunately very disappointing. On my first cast, with only a 3LB test line and a small panfish bait, the rod snapped about a quarter of the way up. I have no idea why it broke so easily—it seemed like the rod was either extremely brittle or poorly manufactured. I was just setting the line out, and it shattered on the cast, which left me highly disappointed. I immediately returned it for a refund. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this rod, especially considering how quickly it broke.

I’ve never owned an Okuma product but this one left a fantastic impression. So much so that I’ve bought another as a gift for a friend. This rod is surprisingly durable for an ultralight, has nice sensitivity and a great backbone. I’ve caught everything from tiny wild trout to trophy size 7lb rainbows and 5lb pickerel. This rod can do it all!

I didn't give it 5 stars because the top slips off a little too easily. Otherwise very happy with this purchase.

I am absolutely in love with this rod!!! So much better than my old ultra light rod, and i've been absolutely slaying the panfish since I got this! I also caught the smallest bluegill ive ever seen in my life tonight because its a very sensitive rod. I had to order another and its currently on its way.

Great rod for the price! Sensitive and casts so smooth.
