My favorite wine glass

It's worth getting premium glasses for your wine, it tastes better and is just generally more enjoyable. These are very thin though, so if you are worried about breaking them, maybe get something sturdier. On the other hand the stemless design avoids a lot of accidents.

Was forever breaking those stemmed ones, just by bumping it into the counter or whatever. These are slim, stemless, and just the right size for sipping in the evening. Would by again in a heartbeat.

A friend told me that the glass will matter to the taste of wine and I didn't believe her so we did a test. It's strange, but there is a noticeable difference. Also, these glasses are lovely and feel great in my hand so they add an additional treat in using them. Worth the money in my opinion.

There was slight indention in the glass on the side without crack, indicating variability with manufacturing which I wasn’t expecting with the RIEDEL product. Didn’t wanna go to the effort to return and I like the underlying size and functionality.

I find most stemless wineglasses somewhat bulky, and many are a bit thick at the rim. This size is perfect to hold, with a nice shape and excellent quality (as expected with Riedel). Not best for use with Pinot / Burgundy or bold Reds, but just right for light Red, Rosé, and White wines.

I have bigger wine glasses and stemmed glasses, but I find myself reaching for this one all the time. I know that you are supposed to use this wine glass for Riesling/Sauvignon blanc. I mostly drink red wine and so I’m not following the “rules” by using it for red wine. But, It is the perfect size for my hand and most comfortable to hold. Some stemless are just to big for comfort. My hand is average, but even my husband’s bigger man hand is a good fit ... he prefers it also.

The stemless wine glasses make great gifts for the wine lover on your list. We own several and truly make a difference in bringing out the best of any wine you serve. They are quite thin and are easily broken if care is not taken when washing them. The stemless versions are sturdier as the theme are quite easily broken when washing or drying them. They are still worth it if you want the best....
