Irreverent, but child friendly
The books are beautifully illustrated, with engaging characters and story lines. Whilst the characters essentially just battle each other continuously they are not overly violent. I like that they use words which stretch the Child's vocabulary - my son is eight. They're a perfect blend of humour and naughtiness - enough to amuse the kids, but not enough to have parents worry about what their child may be reading. My older son also enjoys looking through them when he visits - and he's 22! Highly recommended.

Fun all around
My son and daughter are 7 years old and love these books. They will sit and read independently for an hour. Over the Christmas holidays my son read the whole series. He couldn't put the book down. Even now he takes them to the bathroom with him. Funny, accessible and adventurous.

Loved by my 8-year-old daughter
My 8-year-old daughter has enjoyed reading these this summer. She’s not a massively keen reader so it’s good to see her enjoying a book and laughing. The language can be a bit tricky, (e.g. she asked me what conscience and empathise meant today) but she is able understand the story and it also means she’s learning when she bothers to check what a word means!

funny and catchy
My 9 year old had a blast with these books. He was never a keen reader but he likes this books so much that he is reading them end to end, one after the other.

Unlike Dogman, I don't think the story is intriguing at all. It appears more like a repeated tale of a monkey that fails and acts foolishly towards a bunny at the end. Nothing to look forward on the preceeding chapter.
