Great product, easy to clean especially if you can put in a paper filter for a day or two while you let this one dry. Mine got too dirty and damaged due to heavy driving. I sent pictures over to K&N and they are sending a replacement.

I have experience with K&N air filters dating back many years (motorcycles (dirt bikes) and Rotax airplane engine). They do the job superbly and keep hard service engines protected, So why not in an average automobile? 2015 Mazda CX5 GT (185 hp) is the auto. It fit perfectly and we headed out on a 3200-mile vacation. Results, performance and economy both improved. The car had about 6000 miles before installing the K&N, so we had some experience in town and going back and forth from Houston and Austin. The 3200 mile trip to NM, CO, KS, OK and TX produced an overall average of 29.7 mpg with a low of 24.94 and a high of 36.88. Surprisingly, the best mileage came form CO, but the rest was also impressive. Did I baby the car ... no. Drove it normally, i.e. the way I always drive.Smart purchase!

After years of debate about these drop in filters, I decided to give it a try. I'm very happy with the quality. It's a little floppy, so be sure it is sitting flush in the air box. My engine seems a little more responsive, but it could be because the old filter was clogged with all the ash from recent fires.

I did first 1000 km with the K&N filter and feels well. It is proved that increase power (search Youtube) and the car feels little bit more responsive. It is necessary to buy the cleaning products in order to maintain the quality.

What a fit! What ease! Why do they still make paper filters?This is the fourth K&N product I've bought. You can't beat the investment of the K&N performance filter. I replaced the filter in seconds and the oil from the factory was perfect (no need to worry it was over oiled).I love the simplicity of cleaning it and knowing that I will save more money over time because they last! 3 - 4 cleans later and I'm saving money.No noticeable performance benefits but maybe a touch more responsive. I reset my car's mpg so I'm interested to see if I gain anything there. I'd guess the typical +1 mpg from past experience.

Package was a bit damage but the filter itself seemed ok. Other than the ability to wash and reuse, it’s hard to say what the long-term benefits are since I just received it a couple of days ago. It’s supposed to improve performance but I have no way of measuring it. But I don’t expect it to turn my “sports” sedan into a performance tuner.As far as install and fit…it was very simple for my 2017 Mazda 6. Something to note…the filter is oily out the package but that’s on purpose to so don’t be worried if you notice that.I do like the fact that it’s washable and reusable. We’ll see what that process is like when the time comes to wash. I decided to purchased because it was on sale and it was for filter plus the cleaning kit so I can’t say if I would purchase it at full price.
