McFarlane Toys - Spawn 7" Toy Wave 5 - Medieval Spawn

Christmas 1994, I got most of the first series of Spawn figures, as well as Spawn Alley and the much maligned Spawn mobile. Of that set of figures, Medieval Spawn was hands down my favorite figure in that line. This figure is that figure on steroids. He's huge, even for the current scale of McFarlane stuff, and he looks like a statue when you pose him just right

I have loved the charecter for a long time and I had been waiting for this figure to be released for many years. I loved the detail on the figure and the weapons included. It has made a great addition to the Scorched team figures

The figures design is really cool and a gray wash would make the armor look amazing. The posing is a bit hard as he's really stiff thought, but once you get him in a cool pose he sticks to it.

McFarlane definitely deserve his praise I have seen so many videos on this guy YouTube Facebook only thing that this guy lacks in his paint on some of his area mainly his boot brace shoulders spikes skull belt line but if you know how to customize it's a easy fix his weapons are awesome to which I also customize Spawn really is going med evil cape is soft rubber the red really shines making him stand out detailed head to toe I don't follow any thing with this guy I know who he is but he's very sharp dressed to impress making my figures stand out with him in the front line my army of all star figures well mostly DC and mortal combat some marvel which I don't care who's who I look at whos cool if your screaming dark scary I'm gonna kill everything then I'm getting you look which this guy does I want more Spawn figures different ones spider king I want next there's to many I want I'm so behind but this guy I had to get right away if that tells you how impressive he is keep that in mind ,,, I usually wait awhile for the sell but him nope I got to he's a must get ten years from now he will be someone that will be costly you know the value will go up I promise you that well maybe not mine as I customize him already I would have to buy another one keep in his box .....

I had the original Medieval Spawn figure back in the 90's, so an updated version was a must have for me. He looks awesome, I really like what McFarlane did with this one. The sculpted details are amazing, so much texture all around. Unfortunately, there's a lack of paint apps, especially on the forearm armor and lower leg armor parts. The colors are nice, but a simple wash would really bring out the detail and add some realism. The sword and hammer are equally awesome, but could also benefit from more paint, and they're kind of rubbery as well. A stand with printed Spawn logo was included (not pictured). Despite lacking some paint, it's definitely a great figure and great addition to a Spawn collection.

I have been collecting McFarlane figures since 1997 and I love this Medieval Spawn so much that I had to buy a second one. But it’s far from perfect: it needs metal chains, better paint applications, fur (as in Series 22) and a diorama base. I would pay up to 100 USD for that.

My son wanted this really bad, and I was pretty annoyed by the price. But it came and the quality is 11/10. 100% worth the price.

I own Medieval Spawn 3 from the old 90's wave, and that rendition is still my favorite but this one is far superior in several aspects such as articulation (obviously) sculpting, and accessories. This is a must in your collection! Kickstarter Medieval Spawn just got leaked and while it looks great, this version you have here will not disappoint at all. Just customize it a bit with some red paint and wash, throw in a shield, and get a horse and you'll have the ultimate figure.
