Where do I even start!! All the plots and Chaol and Yrene🫠😍...am really glad I stuck to the order of the series as many people said to skip this one. Am glad I didn't!! Loved it

I found this book very boring as it was about Chaol Westfall and he is very boring. But all the other books in the series were amazing . But if you are reading this book for Nesryn Faliq then go for it.

The book arrived on time and in good condition so well done Amazon. The book itself was way better than I expected. I felt like it was much needed character growth for Chaol because the rest of the characters had gotten their own arcs and development and Chaol was sort of left behind in the events of the first book. So it was a good thing to see his journey toward finally catching up with the other characters.The book was a little stretched out and predictable but it is setting up the next one so that's one nice thing to be excited about. Can't wait for the next one!

The book arrived on time in good condition. Although the gold lettering on the cover had faded a bit, the book looked brand new and unused.

sarah is a gifted writer. it would be a sacrilige to not read her books

First of all, Sarah J Maas created a world so different and so real (so much similar to the middle east scenarios) that perfectly matches with the "main land". Second, the characters... The writer forged lots of charcters each one with its own story and personaility and each character fits the role she gave it. Chaol... Omg, i really felt the pain he went throught from the first page to the last. The thing I loved the most is the way he relates with his pain: he start with a "I deserve this pain" and end the book with acceptance. And this is amazing. Even his relationship with Nesryn evolves and get a new shape and I won't say more because.. spoilers! And Yrene. Okay, I'm a nurse so I can relate with her and... She is great. Her story, her personality, her body, her thoughts and way to operate on a patient.. Five stars, all deserved!

I was tempted to skip this book since it is not part of the primary storyline, but it is necessary for the conclusion in the following book. Maas has created a beautiful land with new, exciting characters and a wonderful love story. This is a lovely addition to the Throne of Glass series that will make you excited for the conclusion.

Während Aelin mit Rowan und ihren Gefährten nach Terrasen aufbricht um ihren Platz als rechtmäßige Königin einzunehmen, schickt König Dorian seinen Freund Lord Chaol Westfall als Botschafter auf den südlichen Kontinent nach Antica um Heilung und Verbündete zu finden. In der Stadt der Götter trifft Chaol auf die begabte Heilerin Yrene, die einst aus Adarlan fliehen musste und jetzt im berühmten Turm der Heiler - dem Torre Cesme - eine neue Heimat gefunden hat. Yrenes magische Gabe ist für Chaol die einzige Möglichkeit um wieder Laufen zu lernen - doch die Heilerin ist anfangs nicht begeistert davon, einem Abgesandten jenes Königshauses zu unterstützen, das ihre Mutter zum Tod auf dem Scheiterhaufen verurteilte. Und auch das regierende Königshaus von Antica verhält sich reserviert, denn in der Familie des Großkhans gibt es einen Todesfall zu beklagen und jede Menge Intriegen und Rätzel, die damit in Zusammenhang stehen und bis nach Erilea zu reichen scheinen. Umso hilfreicher, dass Nesryn mit nach Antica gereist ist, um Chaol zu unterstützen - denn Nesryns Familie stammt aus Antica und sie trifft hier nicht nur ihre Verwandten wieder, sondern findet auch bald Gefallen an der Gesellschaft des Prinzen Sartaq, der sie zu einem gefährlichen Abenteuer in die Berge von Rukhin einläd - eine Reise, auf der Nesryn ohne es zu ahnen einen Schlüssel zu ihrer eigenen Vergangenheit und zu der von Erilea finden soll. Die Handlung dieses Buches spielt sich diesmal vor allem auf dem südlichen Kontinent ab, man lernt die Familie des Großkhans und die Sitten und Gebräuche von Antica kennen, was das Throne of Glass Universum nochmal sehr bereichert. Außerdem werden hier alte Handlungsstränge wieder aufgenommen und zusammengeführt, denn Yrene verbindet eine Geschichte mit Calaena Sardothien. Die vier Hauptpersonen sind Chaol, Yrene, Nesryn und Sartaq, wobei sich schnell zwei Liebesgeschichten anbahnen und Handlungsstränge ergeben. Vielleicht ein bisschen vorhersehbarer als man es sonst von Sarah J. Maas gewohnt ist - und auch wieder nicht, denn die Informationen, die die Protagonisten nach und nach erfahren, sind absolut entscheidend für den kommenden Kampf gegen Erawan. Es gibt also durchaus die eine oder andere Überraschung. Alles in allem eine schöne und bereichernde Nebenhandlung aus der Welt von Throne of Glass - deren Ergebnisse aber wichtig für den Gesamtplott sind. Wer also (wie ich) mit Chaol (bisher) nicht so richtig warmwerden konnte, dem empfehle ich: Lest das Buch trotzdem, denn hier wird aus seiner Perspektive erzählt und seine Berweggründe werden dabei sehr verständlich. Und auch wenn man ihn nicht unbedingt liebt - sympathisch wird er allemal. Yrene dagegen ist von Anfang an ein wunderbarer, warmherziger und liebenswerter Charakter. Während die Geschichte der beiden sich langsam und behutsam anbahnt, erleben Nesryn und Sartaq das Abenteuer ihres Lebens. Der Handlungsstrang der beiden hat mir besonders gut gefallen, weil er sehr spannend und actionreich verläuft. Und als kleinen Zusatz und Ausblick auf den sehnlichst erwarteten Band 7 (der Ende Oktober auf Englisch erscheinen wird) gibt es am Ende noch einen Epilog aus der Sicht von Aelin.
