So far this has been working great for me and is helping me to not overwater my plants. It has 4 prongs so tends to grab soil but that is a minor inconvenience. It feels solid.

Though it works well, I had to return it as It does disturb the soil and roots with its 4 prongs.Don’t know why they do not advertise this on the site.If you looking to use outside or on very large pots this thing is awesome very accurate.

Bought this to monitor the moisture levels in my container tomatoes. Checked shortly after two days of steady rain and showed excessive moisture. Checked again two days later and the moisture level readings have dropped. Apparently it works.

Instructions very unclear. After using it for less than 2 weeks, it stopped working. Maybe it was batteries but if that is how long they last I don't want it. Could never figure out how the hold button worked so had to bend down to ground to see reading - not easy to use. Returned it. Should have an easy was to have the reading stay so you can pull it out of the ground and read it.

Identifies overwatering and under watering with precision. Have a pH monitor from this same company that is also superb. HAPPY!

I am bummed as i thought this tool would be the answer to my over/under watering dilemmas. It worked great for about a month, but now when i turn it on, it is on for a only a moment then shuts off. all batteries are fully charged. Nothing seems messed up with the chip connection either.
