Ideal fitment for a cistern with a 2inch outlet worked like a charm. Previous unit that had failed had to be siliconed in, this one sealed tightly and has worked flawlessly since installing. At £13 including same day delivery beats Screwfix hands down that didn’t have a suitable 2inch outlet at anywhere close to the same price point.

The plumber who fitted this found it easy to fit and adjust, it works well and feels solid, and a nice feature is that the cable that connects to the loo flush push buttons is clip-on. That makes it easy to remove the porcelain lid on the WC water tank for cleaning and servicing in the case that the floater breaks. This syphon was sourced as a replacement for a Geberit syphon which is not available anymore. It does not come with a floater but the plumber had one in his van, a standard model.

The bad news: it's not a 2" version despite the description - so don't buy the 2" close-coupling kit that is "Frequently Bought" with this - it doesn't fit. The great news: this is a modern drop-in replacement for the older Ideal Standard 2.25" (58mm) valves. That is exactly what I was looking for but it doesn't come up in a search for 2.25" flush valves! It's much shorter too than the old 12" (30cm) one, at about 20cm high, so there's plenty of room above it for the modern dual-flush button assembly that comes with it (which can also be side-mounted). Seals well and there's plenty of scope to adjust fill level and residual water level - if you really want to. Instructions in (good) English and Chinese.

Couldn’t get a fitting to fit this to my toiket

Absolute fantastic product the ibergrif M20521 for the price and allowed a first time DIY attempt at plumbing to go wonderfully. Very easy to install. Build quality is better than the one I replaced as its copper and not only plastic (see photo of old grey one installed in new build 2017). No leakage even though I used no epoxy and just hand tightened the parts together. Only thing that was also needed was a reducing bush to take the larger size water pipe down to the G3/8 size of this fill valve (see photo). Bought for a euro in Screwfix. Fits perfectly and fills up much quicker than before. Noise level is standard and as it fills quicker it gets quiet quicker too!I've now bought 2 more to keep as spares for the other toilets in the house.

This product does not fit into a 2inch hole but read the instructions carefully as it requires a 59mm to 62mm dia hole

Good quality and I was able to fit it myself. Still working 6 months on. Filling speed is quick.
