Really useful MIDI utility device that works well under Linux
An excellent device that works perfectly on Linux. I have 4 single-channel synths and a drum machine along with an ancient power-hungry multi-timbral Roland D-110 (from 1989). The issue is that I rarely use the D-110, so it needed to be daisy-chained at the end of all the other MIDI devices so it could be left switched off. But daisy-chaining 6 devices (with more to come) is not a great idea for latency, etc. U6MIDI Pro to the rescue! With the software you can download from the website, you can select which USB inputs go to which MIDI outputs, which means that rarely used devices can be kept on their own MIDI ‘circuit‘. Within your DAW, select output “U6MIDI Pro MIDI #” (where “#” is either 1, 2 or 3) and an appropriate MIDI channel and you’re away. Or, if you don’t need more than 16 MIDI channels, just use “U6MIDI Pro MIDI 1” for everything, but use the channel routing feature of the U6MIDI Pro to send particular channels to particular MIDI outputs. This is more than a multi-in multi-out MIDI device though. Within the software, for each USB or MIDI input you can filter out MIDI channels and message types that don’t make sense for those MIDI devices, and you can do some fancy message manipulation stuff that I’m not sure I’ll ever need. The software runs well on Linux, which is a bonus, and like most class-compliant USB devices on Linux these days, doesn’t need any extra drivers. Overall I’m really impressed by what it can do, how easy it is to set up, and compatibility with various OSs. Would definitely recommend.

Great small MIDI interface
Fantastic small MIDI interface with 3 inputs and 3 outputs. Plug and play on macOS, immediately usable from Ableton. Connects conveniently to computer via USB-C. Solved a sync issue I was having with an Access Virus TI2 connected via USB - connected via MIDI the timing sounds very accurate and together. The included UxMIDI software is excellent. Full filtering and routing of MIDI messages between the ports! It is very configurable. The only slight downside is that the 3 in ports are on one side of the device and the 3 out ports are on the other side. That means if you have a cable that pairs together 2 MIDI ports on each end (e.g. MIDI in/out) you have to have it stretch the cable over the device to plug one end into each side.

Works well for routing and filtering MIDI
Needed to disable start MIDI messages to some devices while leaving it enabled for others. This little MIDI router/filter worked perfectly for the job, the software interface works well and was very easy to configure for what I needed and worked first time. Hasn't introduced any noticable latency although I'm constantly fiddling with Ableton latency settings so this could be different for others. Great price compared to a lot of other MIDI filter options out there but retains a good build quality. Would recommend as a good little MIDI utility box that just gets the job done with very little fuss.

Much easier to use than the Event Processor Plus
I’ve used a couple of event processor plus’s for years and they are great, but when it’s time to program them, it can be a bit of a pain, especially if you haven’t done it for a while. This CME unit works flawlessly, and the software is very easy to understand, allowing you to program complex set ups in a few seconds. Minutes at most. If I use it plugged into my MacBook Pro it powers no problem, but so far I haven’t managed to get it to power passively from anything else and have had to use an iPhone charger to power it via it’s USB-C port. At this point, I’ve used it with a Nord Wave 2, a Moog Subsequent 37 and a Ampero II Stage effects processor and none of them have powered it. But that’s the only downside I have found. I don’t use a computer on stage, so I will just have to run another cable to it. A very useful feature is to be able to see which inputs are routed to which outputs via the blinking LED’s on the top of the unit. Well worth the money!

Brilliant but you have to first set up routing
I had a few problems to solve 1) I now have 2 controllers on my pedalboard so I needed some kind of merge 2) I needed USB MIDI from my computer 3) one of my MIDI devices corrupts the chain back to the others (my old CME MIDI hub sorted this. With this magic box I have in/out 1 to controller 1 in/out 2 to controller 2 and out 3 to a chain of effects with the rogue one at the end. All works flawlessly. However I assumed everything would be connected to everything internally. Not so. No routing is set up. You have to download the CME software, preferably first do a firmware update, then choose to connect the various ins to outs with the simple point and click tool. Dead easy.

Seriously Impressed
I absolutely love this thing I haven't used more than 3 midi connections on it yet but from my usage so far this feels really well made and thought out. The app for controlling it works great on both Windows and Linux. Seems like they put a lot of effort in for both the hardware and software for this. As a beginner to MIDI I'm seriously impressed

Blows Every Other MIDI Splitter Out Of The Water
I was dubious that such a cheap tiny box could do everything I needed it to do, but I was wrong. I bought this for routing MIDI on my live rig. My main sequencer is a Circuit Tracks, I'm using a Pro VS Mini and a Roland MC-101 as outboard synths and an Arturia keyboard controller to play any of the devices live. My previous "dumb" splitter solution was problematic. Pressing play on the Tracks also started the sequencer on the MC-101. The MIDI send from the Arturia was patchy at best. This little box solves all of that. It was really simple to configure MIDI inputs to send to all outputs, plus it was easy to filter out Start messages between the Tracks and the MC-101. It all now just works. Oh and an added bonus is that the USB port gives you three MIDI outputs on your computer. Programming the hardware has just become so much easier. Fabulous!

Great features
An excellent little unit at a good price. Does exactly what I need, connecting via USB to my PC DAW and via 5 pin DIN to a controller keyboard and some external MIDI expanders. Easy to configure split and merge using the free UxMIDITools software. I will confess that I had some problems, but CME tech support is very good, responsive, helpful and patient. The connection problems I had are most likely caused by my USB hub, but I am hopeful the problems have now been resolved. I also have a U2MIDIPro (USB to 1-in 1-out DIN) which is also very good.
