This item was received quickly and packaged very well. The box included a bulb assembly along with a glove to prevent leaving any smudges and protecting your hands while handling both assemblies, and a screwdriver for removing and replacing the bulb. Upon removing the bad bulb, I compared the assemblies and they looked identical except for surface finish and the actual bulb itself. The replacement has a Philips bulb which I believe to be a good, well know brand. Only time will tell how long this replacement lasts. This item replaced a factory assembly that had 3200 hours of use until it just popped one evening. I'm hoping this one will last as long and hopefully longer than the original. I was running the projector bulb at the ECO setting to help keep the electrical usage and the fan noise down. When I first started up the projector, it took a good minute or two for the bulb to light up and to get to the proper brightness. I'm guessing this is normal for a new bulb. It now has about 5 hours of use and seems to be doing fine.

I was hyped, very affordable, fast shipping easy to install but it barely lasted 3 months and now I don't know how to use my 200 warranty. Someone help.

Usually our projector lamps can last about two years. This one didn’t even last a month. It was cheaper than some other brands, but now we see why.

The original bulb lasted for 7 yrs at 4000+ hrs of usage. I didn't know how dim it has become until I replaced it with COOBAN bulb.In short, it gave my old projector extended life. It saved me from buying a new one. Hopefully it will last just like the original one, but I'd be happy to get another 3 yrs. Hopefully it will be time to upgrade by then.
