Super fast, easy, and secured
Definitely worth the buy. It’s a great product for a good price. It’s small, compact, and super easy to use with plenty of space for all your PC stuff. The delivery was faster than I thought, and it works perfectly for what I need. I’d definitely recommend it. It worked so well, I ended up backing up photos and videos from all my old cameras, phones, laptops, and desktops too. And there’s still a lot of free space on the Seagate. Every device I plugged it into recognized it instantly and was good to go. The transfer speed is awesome. I’m really impressed. The only downside is the included USB cable feels a bit flimsy, especially the Micro B end that plugs into the drive. But overall, the speed is great, it wasn’t too expensive, and it’s good quality with a nice compact design. I’d recommend it if you need a portable drive with a lot of storage.

UnionSine 8TB External Hard Drive Failed Within 3 Months - Lost Hundreds of Hours of Work
To give you guys an idea of what a working hard drive means to me, I am a YouTuber with ~100k subscribers. It's like a mini-business, with a fair amount of cash earned from YouTube partnership. As a result, I need a good amount of extra storage space and substantial reliability, though I also need a good price. I thought I found the perfect combination of all of those things with the UnionSine 8TB External Hard Drive. While it worked decently enough at first, though was so noisy that even non-tech-savvy people noticed and thought there may be an issue with it, I was assured by the directions including in with the hard drive that such loud noise was supposed to happen. For three months, I was able to stream data with no issues straight to the hard drive at a high rate, sometimes capturing hours of 2K quality footage in a single day. Then, right when I was about to release arguably my biggest video in months, the hard drive failed. I went to sleep right after I finished the video with the idea that I could just upload it in the morning, but I could not have been more wrong. I turned my computer and external hard drive on, and it sounded substantially different than normal, as though it is no longer turning. It even made my computer turn on and shut off SUBSTANTIALLY slower, which is noticeable as I have an SSD that I use for my OS. It was giving my computer such fits that my computer wouldn't shut off until I removed the USB plug from it that was attached to the UnionSine external hard drive on the other end. Turning on my computer took approximately 10x as long as normal. I tested it to see if it was the failed UnionSine hard drive that was giving it fits, so I booted and shut off my computer WITHOUT the UnionSine external hard drive connected, and it turned on and shut off as normal. In short, I absolutely DEPEND on a quality hard drive that works and can store a good amount of data. This hard drive failed when I needed it most, and I hardly had 25% of the hard drive filled with data. I was probably hovering around 6TB free when it failed, which, along with how quickly it took for this to fail, is incredibly shocking. Meanwhile, I have an EXCELLENT 5TB Western Digital Black external hard drive that is over a year older than the UnionSine, and it still works like clockwork, and I have NEVER had an issue with it, or another, smaller version of that same WD Black external hard drive that I purchased years before that. Worse yet, I don't even move the UnionSine external hard drive, it stays in the same spot as it has since I first operated it.I would recommend ANYONE that needs to have reliable storage stay away from UnionSine. Mechanical hard drive technology is DECADES OLD, and has NO EXCUSE for breaking within months of usage, especially within so much free space still left on it. Avoid this brand like the plague, and go for a more reputable brand, like Western Digital or Seagate.

This has been a pleasant surprise
I've had this drive for more than half a year now, and I'm quite happy with it. I use it as storage for video and various reading materials, and I've barely scratched the surface of its capacity. It's not as fast as a more expensive drive might be, but it's plenty fast enough for me. It writes and reads at a high percentage of its theoretical max speed. I've encountered no corruption or incorrect reads or writes. My only criticism is that it was really noisy before I began to fill it a bit, it would clack and thump, which I assume were the products of self-maintenance routines. Since I put more content in, it was quieted considerably, though my wife will occasionally complain about noise late at night. I really don't notice it.I will strongly consider buying from this company when I need another drive.

Impressive external hard drive
I recently purchased the UnionSine 10TB Desktop External Hard Drive, and I have to say, it has significantly exceeded my expectations given its very affordable price point. I have been using it consistently for about a week and managed to back up around 1TB of data from another portable hard drive without any issues. The performance, convenience, and features of this product stand out, making it a strong competitor to more well-known brands like Seagate and WD.The overall design of this hard drive is sleek, professional, and well-considered. While it requires an external power adapter, I find the long cord to be a thoughtful touch that prevents any inconvenience. Unlike many other products that often limit user mobility, the extra length of the adapter cable ensures flexible placement. The package also includes two cables—a USB-C to USB-A and a USB-C to USB-C—which is particularly valuable for compatibility with both older laptops and newer devices such as my Lenovo and MacBook. This USB-C to USB-C cable is a great addition, offering a level of versatility and modern compatibility that many competing models, like Seagate and WD, do not provide. Furthermore, the ease of replacing USB-C cables, as compared to micro USB-A cables used by some other brands, adds another layer of convenience and practicality. The longer cables also offer greater flexibility, which I appreciate and consider a key highlight of this product. From a usability perspective, the drive arrived preformatted in the exFAT file system, which meant it worked seamlessly across both PC and Mac systems right out of the box—another thoughtful feature that minimizes setup hassles. In terms of data transfer speed, the UnionSine drive impresses with approximately 100 MB/s copy speeds from my old seagate USB external hard drive. While this speed is on par with my Seagate and WD devices, I found the writing process to be smoother and without any noticeable slowdowns. It consistently handled transfers with ease, regardless of large files or many small files (like photos), making file management fast and efficient.During my use, I did notice that the hard drive occasionally emitted a bit of loud noise, likely from the hard disk itself. However, this was not particularly disruptive and did not hinder my overall experience. The cooling fan noise, in contrast, was negligible, and the drive remained cool to the touch even after extended use of two to three hours. This heat management and quiet operation are reassuring features, especially when dealing with significant data backups or transfers. While I cannot yet speak to the long-term reliability of the UnionSine hard drive due to my short period of use, my experience so far has been overwhelmingly positive. It has delivered performance on par with, if not better than, my Seagate and WD external hard drives with more established brand reputation. Considering that this is my first experience with this less well-known brand, I am genuinely impressed and highly satisfied with its performance, design, and thoughtful features.
