Cutter Mosquito Repellent 40-Hour Refill, Use With Cutter Eclipse Zone Mosquito Repellent Device

I was skeptical of this product. The mosquitoes are killers and I was getting bit just about immediately when I sat outside. I thought I’d give this a try. I turned it on..gave it a few minutes and no mosquitoes!! The refills are pricey. But, I’m willing to pay to not scratch myself until I bleed! I give this 5 stars!!

REVIEW FOR THE CUTTER ECLIPSE ZONE MOSQUITO REPELLENT DEVICE Let me first say I dislike when companies put more than one very different product on their listing. It combines all the reviews for the various items into one place, which makes it incredibly difficult to find the reviews for the one product you are interested in. In spite of it being difficult to find reviews specific to the ECLIPSE ZONE MOSQUITO REPELLENT DEVICE, I went ahead with the purchase. I really wanted this to work. It seemed like the best, most economical option. Sadly, the item I received looked used. As in someone purchased it, used it, didn't like it, and returned it. Then it was sold to me for the brand new price. The warning sticker on the outside of the unit was peeling off. It appeared to have been removed and then replaced, but the adhesive was no longer holding it in place. Also, the repellent bottle was less than half full. Certainly not up to the level shown in the product photos. Despite that, I wanted this thing to work, and figured if it did, the sticker and low fluid would be a small price to pay in exchange for a working mosquito repellant. Except it didn't work. Mosquitos continued to buzz around me and the so-called repellent device, inches away from it. The instructions say to allow 10 minutes for effectiveness. I gave it close to half an hour each, two evenings in a row, before they chased me inside and I gave up. What does work is my 20 year old bottle of Avon Skin So Soft. I was trying to avoid using sprays every time I wanted to sit out on my deck, but if that is what works, that's what I'll do. This thing was a waste of money.

With intermittent use, this unit is long lasting. Refills are cheaper than Thermocell, too. But the "bubble " it creates is half the size, about 10 ft. If you don't move out of the range, you'll be golden. Eliminated about 90% of the mosquitoes. You'll always have those overachiever who fly through, into the bubble to get to you. Good product.

If I had had demonstrable success with this cutter eclipse device, I would be happy to buy a refill. However, I did not experience a drop in bugs, and the liquid container for the device was gone before I knew it. Without visible results, I’ll pass on doing anything more with Cutter Eclipse. Better devices elsewhere.

I got this to use on the patio where we have our ping pong “tournaments”. No matter what kind of monthly/weekly/daily treatment we use, the mosquitoes just keep coming. This worked great within a confined area (about 8 square/round feet) as long as there wasn’t a wind. Personally, I think they should make a larger version that can cover more area and hold a larger bottle. But for its size, it’s a great little product.

This is by far the best mosquito repellent device. Sucks that they don't have bigger bottles or refills that last longer, but it actually works .

I ordered 2 of these and they never worked. Not once. I bought a ton of the refills but never got to use one. Don’t waste your money or time.

I was hopeful this would be a great companion all summer. It was a bit less than expected. The product charged as expected. The on/off button worked inconsistently. The vapor stream was also highly variable. Sometimes it puffed a white smoke and other times almost nothing. I hope you have better luck.
