A must have for your colouring bookshelf!
I have a huge colouring book collection and this is one of my top 5 books.Known as Zemlja Snova this is the Dutch version and like so many other reviewers cannot understand why there isn't a UK or US version.Having 2 names both have slightly different meanings. Dromenvanger translates to Dream Catcher and Zemlja Snova translates to Dreamland or land of dreams. It's stunning.........yes it's owed that special breath intake!!!This beautifully illustrated whimsical book is filled with fairies and dragons, pixies and gnomes. Strong women guardians on horseback and dragonback and so much more.Tomislav has an incredible imagination and pulls us into his world with his amazing artwork. Each page is super detailed for the more advanced or patient colourist. There are a few double spreads mixed with many outstanding 1 page designs. The paper is cream and of thicker grade than Zemlja Snova which has white paper. It takes watercolour well...obviously not soaking a page of course.Pencils go on dreamily and I use both Prismacolour and Polychromos pencils and my Neocolor 2. I've not tried alcohol markers. It's a thicker book than the original Zemlja Snova due to thicker quality paper.I've seen shadowing from watercolours in ZS but I've had no shadowing in this version. When I'm not colouring; I also enjoy just leafing through Tomislav wild imagination.I cannot wait for his next book.If you love colouring it's a must have for your colouring bookshelf.

Such a beautiful and magical book
I've been wanting to get a hold of Zemlja Snova for a few years, but it's been almost impossible to get a copy of the Croatian version, apart from via some Facebook groups. Dromenvanger is the Dutch version and has not disappointed me in the slightest - why they haven't released an English/American copy is baffling. It's got to be one of the most stunning books I've seen. The artwork is amazing. Just to look at the pictures transports you to a fantasy world full of fairies, dragons, elves, pixies, and other mythical creatures. The line work itself is extremely detailed in a greyish type of print, rather than black. The paper itself is extremely thick, almost like card stock. It's probably the best paper I've seen in a colouring book. I haven't worked in it yet, but I can guess it would easily take a variety of mediums - pencils, fineliners, gel pens, inktense, neocolours, water based markers (the pages are printed on both sides, so alcohol markers would still shadow through), watercolours (without tons of water), acrylic etc.I'm so pleased I've eventually got my hands on this lovely book. It may appear slightly higher in cost than similar books, but the quality speaks for itself. If you've had your eyes on this book, stop hesitating and just buy it. You won't regret it. It really is exquisite.

Dreamland
Very rarely can you look through a colouring book and think - wow, I'd love to colour every page. Dromenvanger has some of the most beautiful and intricate illustrations, and each page is practically its own story. The paper is ivory/off-white and lovely and thick - it will take water mediums well along with water-based markers and pencils. If you want a fantasy colouring book then this is a must-have!

Whimsical but lovely and detailed drawings on nice paper.
I have 3 copies of each of this artists books, bought not only on Amazon UK, but also Amazon USA, and a Korean Ebay coloring book store, and a Japanese Ebay coloring book store. HUGE cost for postage form the Asian Ebay sellers, over $20.00 USD per book, against Amazon Prime in USA, and about $10.00 from UK Amazon for shipping.I bought so many because they are lovely artwork, so I can color 1 of each with colored pencils, 1 with metallic watercolors, mica watercolors, and various colored pencils including Polychromos, Prisma, Inktense, and the stunning Kuretake Wink of Stella + Wink of Luna brush pens.Heaven and joy for relatively inexpensive amount of money considering, put on great music, off you go!

Whimsical and intricate - fab book good quality
This is a great book if you like detailed whimsical colouring - it's got fairies, trees, dragons, castles and so on - too much to mention. Can't wait to get started. The paper is quite thick printed both sides and I will test a corner with alcohol markers and watercolour before jumping in head first and wrecking it by either mediums seeping through. I'm really pleased to add this to my collection of books. But I'm not good at colouring in fact I've only practiced as I don't want to ruin any of my books. This is very intricate so I'm a bit (a lot) nervous of starting. I think it's from Holland so the first sheet is in Dutch and a translation would be a good idea.
