No CC, Bad solder joints, bad quality, inefficient, not gonna do 250W
Not worth the money, when I got it the solder joints were all grainy. After powering on and hooking up it seemed to work fine with CV, however CC did not work and is critical for my use case - an LED driver. The wiring was thin on both the inductor and leads, I really doubt it could handle 250W since I have a 150W boost converter here and the coil has 3x thicker wire. Judging by the heat output with only 20W of load (12Vin, 40Vout) I truly doubt the claims of over 90% efficiency have any merit since the device seemed to be producing well in excess of 2W of heat.

Good current limiting driver
Used as an LED driver for 100W chip. Set the voltage with a dummy load and minimized the current. Adjusted the current while connected to the LED. Works great.

As advertised
I was searching for a driver that included the ability to dim LED light arrays efficiently while staying within a given physical profile. This product fit my requirements quite well. I will be ordering many more.

Good for small batteries needing boosted to 12v but that’s about it...
Works to boost a 2s battery to 12v but does not boost my 10s 40v to anything above or below 40v so does not meet the specifications listed by amazon

under further review
I may have jumped the gun on a previous review

I have sent it back multiple times😡
I have sent it back 3 times now, it also last time after less than 30 seconds and burned out a row of my high power led chip 3rd time still don't work don't buy

Solid little boost converter
runs cool, reasonably easy to setup, affordable. Would recommend.

Failed in 10-12 minutes under 40% rated load
I used this to drive a high-power LED at 30V 3A (tested and measured) from a 12V battery, which it did for about 10-12 minutes then failed applying nearly a short to the battery. The unit was operated in a cooler environment at 45 degrees F, with active dissipation (heat sink and fan) in place and functioning. The unit is under-designed for the stated specs.
