Such a simple, but effective piece of hardware. This magnetic mount does not require any adhesive, and sits above your monitor to mount your iPhone so you can use it as a high-quality webcam for meetings. Before purchasing this item, I was in the market to purchase a new webcam because the image quality from my built-in camera on my Macbook Pro left me with something to be desired. For the price of this item, I figured it was worth a shot before committing a bigger budget for an expensive webcam. To my delight, this was the perfect piece of upgrade and saved me so much money from having to buy a new camera! Because it doesn't use any adhesives, I don't have to worry about the mount damaging my monitor. The hinges are super sturdy and stable, and the magnet is strong; I do not worry about my phone going anywhere when mounted to this product. The best part is that because it does not use adhesives, I can take this mount with me anywhere I go, and even put it on the back of my laptop when I am traveling. The mount folds flat, and has a very small footprint, which makes it ideal for anyone traveling for work. Cheap, effective, and well-designed. What more can you ask for? Just get this and start enjoying higher-quality images in your web meetings!

I am looking to upgrade from just webcams to using my iPhone to film videos. So, I use this mount to hold my phone on my monitor. It is sitting there along side my webcam. I like how firmly it grips the phone. It snaps into place… I do have to take care when removing it though. I also like that I had no problems with mounting it to my monitor - even though it is thicker than my laptop. Finally, I appreciate that it has a tripod mount so that I can more it off my monitor altogether if I want. Overall, the unit feels durable and made of high quality materials as well. A downside is that I have to remove it often as it does not have a swivel which would allow me to switch from camera side to screen side easily. I propped up a mirror so that I can see what’s on the screen some times, but I wish that it could rotate around in addition to tilting. All in all, I like the mounting versatility and how well it holds the phone. I just wish it would swivel around.

Made very well with good quality. Fits atop my monitor and does exactly what I needed it to do. It has a strong magnet as well.

Pros: Quality build and magnet is strong and holds my 16 pro max with MagSafe case. Cons: I personally feel the phone could be a bit closer to the screen once you prop it up on the MacBook. The phone sits too far back; it, however, doesn’t in any way affect the performance or angle of the camera.

Very easy to install and use. The lip holds the phone properly, but I have concerns regarding the scratching of the back of my computer monitor. It definitely is in a small form factor which makes it great for travel. I appreciate the all metal design. I used it to stabilize my phone while capturing some auroras.

I'm using this with my iPhone 15 Pro Max and Windows PC as a Zoom webcam. It's terrific. The trick is that I'm using a third-party app, iVCam, to connect, since I can't use Apple's "continuity camera" feature on my PC. But that's a simple hack, and the set up is working great. Seriously, as other reviewers have noted, the unit is way sturdy and well-built, all aluminum. And the picture is fantastic, because it's using the iPhone's camera. It's far better than the built-in camera on my Dell laptop, or any other webcam I've tried. Clear, sharp, good colors. The iVCam app gives me a wide range of detailed adjustments I can make to the image, including 2 zoom levels. The 15 Pro Max is heavy, and I have it in a case to boot, but it's rock solid on this mount. My only minor thought is that it might be nice if it somehow incorporated or accommodated an actual charging MagSafe (the mount just uses the MagSafe magnet to hold the iPhone in place). But that's not a big deal: I can charge the iPhone ahead of time, or simply attach a charging cord; a MagSafe charger would require a cord anyway. Brilliant. Never thought I'd write a rave review for a $20 phone mount.

Strong magnet but despite it having a clamping hinge, there’s no actual clamping to an external monitor. It just balances and is not secure. Easy to knock it or ding the angle of the phone when removing your hands after placing it on the monitor. It is cheap, though - and you get what you pay for.

Be sure to use the original advertising photos to figure out how to best use this. Once I got it right I was thrilled with the performance! Exactly what I was looking for! P.S. Don’t forget to remove your phone case

Als regelmäßiger Teilnehmer an Videokonferenzen war ich schon länger auf der Suche nach einer Lösung, um die hervorragende Kameraqualität meines iPhones auch für meine Online-Meetings nutzen zu können. Nach einem Preisvergleich zwischen dem Belkin-Original aus dem Apple Store und der Stouchi-Alternative entschied ich mich für letztere - und wurde positiv überrascht! Der erste Eindruck war sofort überzeugend: Die Verarbeitung aus Aluminium macht trotz des günstigeren Preises (ca. 20% weniger als das Belkin-Original) einen absolut hochwertigen Eindruck und hebt sich wohltuend von den vielen Plastik-Alternativen ab. Die Befestigung an meinem 27" Monitor war in Sekundenschnelle erledigt und mein iPhone 16 Pro Max dockt dank MagSafe zuverlässig an. Besonders praktisch finde ich die Möglichkeit, den Winkel bis zu 30 Grad anzupassen. So kann ich in Meetings immer den optimalen Bildausschnitt einstellen - keine abgeschnittenen Köpfe oder seltsamen Perspektiven mehr! Das 1/4"-Gewinde ist ein nettes Extra, falls man den Mount mal mit einem Stativ nutzen möchte. Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen: Meine normale Handyhülle muss ich für die Nutzung abnehmen, da nur MagSafe-kompatible Hüllen funktionieren. Das ist zwar etwas lästig, aber dafür sitzt das iPhone dann auch bombenfest. Dieses "Problem" teilt der Mount übrigens mit dem teureren Belkin-Original. Nach drei Wochen intensiver Nutzung kann ich nur sagen: Für alle, die viel in Videokonferenzen sind und Wert auf professionelle Bildqualität legen, ist der Stouchi Mount eine sehr gute Investition. Die Qualität steht dem Original in nichts nach, und man spart dabei noch einiges an Geld. Die Flexibilität in der Nutzung ist top. Fazit: Ein durchdachtes Produkt, das hält, was es verspricht, und dabei preislich deutlich attraktiver ist als das Original von Belkin. Klare Kaufempfehlung für alle Apple-Nutzer im Homeoffice, die ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis schätzen!

I spent days looking at the various products that claimed to hold the iPhone on any screen and I’m glad I eventually opted for this one. The product is made of solid metal with rubber at the back to protect the screen. The hinge is strong enough so that it doesn’t move once in place, but still easy enough to adjust when needed. The MagSafe is powerful and holds the phone in place without any fear of the phone falling off. I have tested this on both my MacBook Pro and my 27” LG monitor. It works flawlessly on both. The box also contains a little metal disc that can be added to phones that don’t have MagSafe built in. Obviously I didn’t need this for my 14 Pro.
