Strong and sturdy looking lock. I feel confident knowing the lock will keep items secure in lockers/cupboards in busy areas like a gym. The number dials on the side are easy to click into place. The process to change the combination code is easy too - just open up with the original code, turn the metal hook at the top 90 degrees (the side of the Grifema logo on the front), press down and change the code then remove pressure off lock, turn metal hook back to the lock position and press down to secure the combination. I don’t think there is another way to get into the lock if code has been forgotten - although this can be a good thing as it prevents someone from being able to pick the lock with a key hole. Slightly bulky looking but not to the extent that it feels embarrassing to use or like you’re hiding something super secure that needs high protection (which would usually attract thieves). Numbers are easy to read (no confusion between numbers like 8 and 9 or 5 and 6 which can get confused with easily in a rush. Fairly light to carry, but has that tiny bit of heaviness which helps it to feel like it would keep locked items secure. I would expect it would be rust resistant but can’t guarantee as haven’t had it for long enough to say. Feels like it would be waterproof but again, haven’t tested it in the rain yet. Would recommend this lock! I have used it often since I bought it.

Great padlock. I think this might be the cheapest coded padlock on Amazon at under £4. The setup is really simple, just follow the instructions and then pick a memorable 4 digit code. I use it at the gym, and it fits nicely in my bag and nicely into the gym lockers. I think it's really secure and such a good product for the price. I've only ever used it indoors but it looks sturdy enough to handle the outdoors but it's doesn't mention if it's weatherproof.

Good locks but if using outdoors you really have to lubricate regularly

Cheap but effective. Decent padlocks which provide a visible deterrent yet at the same time permit access to a range of outbuildings by a number of people. Most padlocks are relatively easy to break with a little knowledge of leverage and a couple of sturdy screwdrivers, these are no exception, however, they are a deterrent. Easy to lock and unlock, compact size, not exactly high quality but they do the job.

Compré el GRIFEMA GA1001-1 para asegurar mi taquilla del gimnasio y, en general, ha sido una muy buena compra. La calidad de los materiales se nota al instante: tiene un cuerpo sólido y una sensación robusta que da confianza desde el primer uso. Se manoeuvra con comodidad y sin complicaciones, la llave entra y sale bien, y no he tenido problemas de apertura tras varias semanas de uso diario. La construcción es resistente, lo que para mí es fundamental en un candado que va a estar expuesto al uso continuo en taquilla. En ese sentido cumple perfectamente su función y definitivamente lo volvería a comprar. El único detalle a mencionar es que resulta un poco grande para taquillas estrechas; si tu espacio es muy justo, puede quedar algo voluminoso dentro. Eso no afecta su seguridad, pero sí el confort de uso en espacios reducidos. En resumen: buen candado, sólido y fiable, ideal para gimnasio o uso diario en taquillas, con la única pega de su tamaño algo mayor del esperado.
