Nice GPS
Had to return a different GPS as it would tell the wife to turn around if she ignored the misdirection of that device. This is working perfectly. Easy to program and enter addresses; quickly recalculates if a turn is missed. Great battery life noted on our one trip with it so far. Shape is sleek but not as stable as old Garmin unit unless inserted in the supplied mount, which the wife doesn't want to "bother with". Update was a breeze with the app and a PC.

Simple and effective Garmin
This is perfect for finding the destination without having to use the phone. It did have trouble with inner city Chicago, directions were all over the place to find a way out of hotel area toward outbound but just switched to phone then back to Garmin once I got onto highway. Love this simple to use, handy device!

Great product!
Works great and the touch screen is accurate and sensitive. The only problem is, even after being updated, any location I look up it searches 100+ miles away when the address I'm looking up is only a 5 minute drive away. I have to go into the settings each time and set the town I'm in and for some reason it won't update my location. I don't really use it unplugged so I can't speak on battery life. The display is crystal clear though and is great for direction.

Easy setup. Easy Update
Outstanding. I live in Indiana, and my GPS in my Dodge was way out of date, and no update available. Last week i purchased another GPS and it arrived. That was a nightmare. Maps out of date, it had every time zone in the world on it. And it couldn't even locate where I was.Replaced it with the Garmin 53. Soon as I turned it on, it found me and it had the correct time on it. I checked a few roads that I knew other GPS did not have. Maps where outstanding. Went and downloaded all the latest updates, the latest map. Signed up to be notified when new maps come out, or updates. I just wish it was bigger. I know they have one. But $100 more.

Nice size, doesn't block my driving view
This Garmin is a perfect size for my car, I didn't want my driving view blocked by a bigger device. It works great, no problems. Easy to set up and use. Gets me to the places I need be. Very accurate and detailed information information.

Lite weight and works great
This is such a nice garmin and so slim. My husband wanted one for his VW bug and the only place it could go was on the windshield. It come with its own suction cup and stays on really well. He loves it and uses it every time he drive his car as speedometer doesn’t work in the car and he goes by the garmin.

Great quality GPS
For many years I used a Garmin nuvi 1300 and it worked really well but finally died. I replaced it with a Drive 53. I like it a lot better than the nuvi. The voice instructions are much better such as "turn right at the traffic light" or "stay in the left lane". I really like the feature that keeps up with the posted speed limit and dings to alert you when the speed limit changes.

nice inexpensive GP:S
If you had a Garmin, then you know how they work. Map update took a while and for some reason I had to do the updates twice, but when finished it seems to work well. Easily connected to satellite. I prefer no using my phone, and lilke the reliable suction cup mounts. I do not care about the battery life as I always operate with the power cord. It is the same size as my previous device, which still works, which is to say it is not that large, but can be seen and heard. Bottom line this seems like a good basic GPS. It may not find the best routes sometimes but you will always get home using this.
