For some reason, there are not so many options for larger recessed LED lights light these. I only found a few options online. These were a little more expensive than another similar sized option, but these allowed for 5 different color settings (vs 3 for another brand) and also appeared to have a thinner border area. I am happy with these lights. The brightness and color is awesome. The 5 color settings are nice so you can really dial in the lighting you want that fits the room. They are super low profile. I installed in my finished basement to replace some old fashioned fluorescent recessed boxes. I used four of these and also bought some other smaller retrofit LEDs for can lights I had. My basement lighting is amazing now. It gets very bright, and I can dim it low to have a really well balanced lower light setting. The junction boxes are decent and they comes preinstalled with wire connectors to make connecting wires and downstream lighting more simple ( I get annoyed when some LED lights have really dinky small boxes), I think these 12" square recessed lights open up some neat options for lighting projects. I am glad these guys sell these. They are significantly brighter than standard 6" round LEDs and can really fill a larger space.

Purchased this light as a replacement or a ceiling mounted, square, incandescent light. It is a good sized light and needs a fair sized opening. Wiring was easy and the light installed easily. It is very bright and works well in the stairwell leading into the basement. Would recommend.

Good Quality light to retrofit vintage recessed light openings. No complaints.

These units were easy to install and are much brighter than the lights it replaced. The one issue I had was the cut out dimensions. I precut all the openings prior to the lights arriving, as per recommended cut dimensions (11 1/4"), just to stay ahead of the game. Upon installing the lights in the opening, I was disappointed to see that the cut out dimension only left about a 1/16" of coverage between the hole and the light flange. I would recommend cutting the openings at 11". This will provide much better coverage and the ability to adjust the light in the opening without exposing the cut.

We purchased these lights to replace older Lightolier recessed fixtures that had cracked glass and weren't very bright despite using higher wattage bulbs. I had installed this kind of super slim LED fixture before so I was familiar with its operation. The J-box makes connection simple. I just cut away the old fixture clipping the wires, resized the ceiling hole slightly, and reconnected to the supplied J-box. The cutout template provided was a great idea -- just peel and stick to ceiling and cut along the lines. Putting the fixture up is a snap with the spring clips. I also liked the ability to select from among three color temperatures. The only thing I would have liked different is to have the option to select 2700 instead of 3000 for the lowest temperature. 3000 is a bit bluer than 2700 but it's way better than 4000 or 5000 for my needs. I would have also preferred white trim and an internet search revealed that the manufacturer does make it in white, but after much frustration searching and trying to contact retailers about the white trim model, I gave up. Still I'd recommend this product. I'll update this review if longer term use brings any problems.

Used this to replace my porch light. Install required some additional cutting which was great so it didn’t require changing out the soffit board. Adjustable color temp is great! Includes the receptacle box and easy push in type connectors. Easy install for a DIY person.

I have this light under roof in a gazebo, and it turns on and off every evening (operated by a timer). It works great. I put a color filter over the front for the mood. It is more light than I need. After a couple of months, it’s still works great. This was a good value and fits my needs.
