Signal Boosted
Incredible, just moved out to a place with 1 to no bars of cell service. I have to use satellite internet, the satellite router can utilize a cell signal to access the internet, basically a hotspot. However with 1 bar of cell service this redundant backup function doesn't really work.I looked into a cellphone repeater to try and salvage that 1 bar of signal and found this option. Besides drilling a hole in my wall to run the cable outside, the setup was incredibly easy. I plugged it in and yeah, my 1 to no bars turned into 5 while in the room with the transmitter.I was skeptical, there is no way way I am actually getting full signal. I turned off my WiFi on my phone and just used my cell data. Wow, I was loading videos and texting people with 0 issue. This is a great solution as long as you have at minimum 1 bar of service. If you have no bars it will have nothing to repeat and won't help you.I live in the mountains and am surrounded by tall trees. I temporarily have the receiver on a small 4 foot pole at ground level (which is completely the wrong way to setup this device). Anyways with it setup wrong it still works damn well. I can't wait to see how much better my coverage will be when I get it put on the roof of my house.

NO BARS TO 3 BARS INSIDE A METAL BUILDING!
I bought this to amplify the rather weak Verizon signal. Our rural area doesn't have many towers so coverage inside my metal shop building is always non-existent. Since I also had recent trouble with my cellular wi-fi, I couldn't get calls or messages inside whatsoever. I figured to give this booster a go after seeing a couple great videos on YouTube. The only 'technical' thing one has to do is download a cell mapper app to find the nearest tower which carries their signal. Be careful, those apps are rife with in-app purchases for basic stuff. It is possible to use a website the manufacturer provides but it was difficult to use on my phone. CellularFinder was the app I settled on, FindTower is the app that will in-app purchase you to death. I'm sure there are better apps but CellularFinder worked fine for me.My carrier is Verizon. I think my local tower is 8,000+ meters away. This booster doesn't really 'boost' the signal as much as it repeats it. I tried my cellular SIM router across the room from the indoor antenna and got about half the download speed that I would through a second floor window. But without this booster, I'd get no cell coverage at all. Basically, this product does exactly what it says.Be prepared to have a few things for the installation... you'll need a Phillips head screw driver and an adjustable wrench, drill, drill bits are a plus... I had to drill a quarter inch hole to fish the cable through. Also, you'll need to buy a small pole mount for easier positioning, that's another $20 or so here on Amazon. Basically, you have to aim this thing at the tower as best you can, make sure there aren't any trees or objects in the way. Be mindful to keep the arrow up when mounting the outer antenna. The provided cable is long, I'd say 50 feet or so, which was perfect for my needs. As soon as you plug the base unit in (after hooking everything up), it will light up almost immediately and boost your signal. In my case, it was no bars inside to between 1-3 bars, depending on the location in the shop. No more missed calls, no more missed text messages. I can now wander in and out of the building and not lose signal or drop a call. Also, no more depending on sketchy wi-fi.Simply put, this thing works...

Do not buy this product!
I live in a rural area I have a nighthawk hot spot with a wide band yogi antenna near the top of a telephone pole and was getting 30 down 3 up with no booster. I noticed my hotspot has a second antenna port for a mimo x 2 setup so I figured I would get an inline booster and second antenna. I have attempted to use this unit stand alone with their external antenna up the same pole and it will not amplify a signal of any kind it did nothing for my cell phone or my hotspot it shows increased bars only because the unit is putting out a bogus signal but this is a Scam product.Buyer beware! I went back to my single un-amplified antenna no issues.

It does work
I am very pleased to say that this system does work. Although in my location, rural mountainous, lots of trees, in my area of Vermont. It took some finagling of getting the outside antenna mounted on a pole away from my house to get around a hill for a direct line of site to the tower. It would have been nice to have twice as much or more cable in my situation to get away from the house further. Although I'm not sure if that would have caused a technical issue like "dropping signal over the extended cable". Over all it did boost my signal of no or one bar in my house to 3-4 bars. I can work with that. Routine installation, which mine was not, seemed to be pretty straight forward. Durability is to be seen over time.

Works perfectly
I work in a mobile office which is basically a metal container that had poor signal inside. At the most I had two or three bars and even then searching through the website using my phone was very frustrating because it would take long to load or not at all. Needless to say we would have to open the door to "let the internet in". With this product our signal issues has been fixed. Now I get full bars and my web searches loads almost instantly.Setup was simple and quick with zero performance issues. The antenna that goes outside is made of thin plastic so my only concern is if get hit with hail. Seems like it would crack or break, but other than that everything in the box is well made.I would recommend this to anyone that has low signal in their area or just want to give it an extra boost.

Update for this product....I thought I could use my cell phone at camp...
On a good day, I had barely one signal bar on my phone at camp.I followed the directions, downloaded the tower finding app, hooked the unit up and it improvedmy cell reception.... sporadicallyNow I sometimes have 3 to 4 bars and my phone sometimes works at camp.I thought this would improve my cell reception enough to use my phone as a hotspot to watch TV at camp. The signal is not constant, it comes and goes..... It's better reception than I had but not much and not dependable.
