I am a firm believer in the old saying “You get what you pay for” Yes it’s on the expensive side for a drain plug but the peace of mind is worth every penny. VOTEX drain plug fit my trucks oil drain pan hole perfectly with absolutely no leaks. It’s been a couple weeks since I changed the oil and absolutely no issues. This drain plug is made to last with its solid construction materials and sturdy weight.

It fits great. Stainless so it won't rust in Midwest salt. I used a copper washer instead of the aluminum. I used this on my other truck and always get a small amount of metal dust on the end so I know it's working.

Great quality item and faster than told shipping. This item fit our 2012 Chevrolet Traverse perfectly. The bolt is just a little bit shorter than the stock bolt but was not an issue. Very strong magnet and awesome quality. I put a few wraps of, Teflon tape on the treads to aid in no leaks and it worked like a charm. While you are at it and if you have the funds buy the magnetic drain plug for the Transmission case drain plug. This drain plug is very well made. I drive a 2018 F150 and it takes 30 minutes to drain the oil which eliminates any time saving that I thought I was buying into. Yes I heated the engine first to help speed the draining. Doesn't help. Saying it drains slow is an understatement. Well made and super slow to drain.

I try to do as much vehicle work as possible. Stock drain end up making a mess not with Votex. Had a "mechanic" (because it was the dead of winter. My shop is a driveway.) put one on my pick up it leaks a small amount. Trying to figure out that issue. Put another one on my car myself and it works perfectly no leaks. Also, bought an antenna from Votex for my truck. Works great. Pleased with their products.

Great looking plug!! Stainless steel, looks like it will outlast the engine. Very strong magnet, too, they assure me it is securely glued in place. There have been numerous complaints about the crush washer, so I used some I found on Amazon (made in China), that have fiber on both sides.Pic 1 is the 1/2" plug (similar to the 12mm) next to the 14 year old GM plug, hopefully the Votex will still be shiny in another 14 years!! Pic 2 is a comparison of 3 washers. From top to bottom: A fiber/aluminum crush washer, a standard copper washer, and the supplied crush washer. Pic 3 is the fiber/aluminum crush washer on top of the copper washer, you can see the OEM gasket is same size, Votex supplied crush washer completely covers flange, but not necessary, IMHO. Pic 4 shows coverage over OEM gasket.It's a little pricey, but it's made in USA!! The only drain plug you'll ever need!!
