This jug didn’t just change my life—it rewrote my biology. I used to sip. Now I GLUG.[glug glug glug]Since getting it, I’ve reached hydration levels previously reserved for aquatic mammals. My skin glows. My organs cheer. I sweat like a well-tuned rainforest.[glug]I’ve peed 14 times today and I feel invincible. Birds chirp in sync with my hydration schedule. I think I just unlocked telepathy with houseplants.11/10. I don’t drink water anymore. I wield it.No but seriously, the limescale is disgusting where I live. This filter makes it not only tolerable to drink the tap water, but a pleasure! Add in a couple of ice cubes and it's better than bottled water, and cheaper.

The jug is easy to set up and to get using, all parts fit well and feel sturdy. Jug also fits easily into fridge bottle shelf unlike previous models and with the comfortable handle is easy to hold. Easy to pour from, although I think if you had arthritus/wrist strength issues you would find it difficult to pour when full. Probably best to hold handle and support bottom of jug with other hand in this case. Changing filters is just a case of popping one out and replacing when the indicator on handle tells you it is time to change - must admit I do not do this straight away but carry on using it for a little while after - I don't notice any difference in water quality. These filters seem to last longer than older models I have had in the past. Pleased with this product, water clear and no bad taste like tap water - saved a fortune in bottled water.

I really like my Brita water filter.After a lot on the news and the problems with water companies I consider this (sadly) a really important product to own.Although drinkable, i don't trust tap water anymore.I use this filter for all drinking water now. Whether it removes everything I don't know, but it certainly makes me feel better about drinking water when using this.You need to change the filter once a month, and there's a handy countdown function on the top of the bottle that lets you know when your four weeks is up. The new filters are quite pricey, but again, I do really rely on this product now.It's a smooth pour, and I've had this filter a while now and is in the same condition as it was bought.If it ever does break, I will immediately get another, but certainly a product i would recommend.

I don't know how to rate this as it's merely a filter jug but I do feel I have to point out some things, both good and bad.I initially really liked this (and still am in favour of it) as it looks nice appearance wise, it fits perfectly in both my fridge and on the kitchen counter. Quite easy to pour from and water doesn't dribble everywhere once you've finished pouring. Also, the water did taste better and my glass kettle is free from limescale and other issues that happen when you pour hard water directly into it.I've also not had any black particles leaking into my water nor have I experienced any side effects if there is a possibility of my having ingested any, however, that's not to say there isn't a little problem regarding this.I noticed, due a design flaw, that there is residual water that gets left in the lower tank( under the dedicated space for the actual cartridge). This does retain some water mixed in with said black particles but because of the fit of the cartridge over it, it never spills over when you pour a cup of water. It also doesn't deposit itself at the bottom of your jug because the water that passes directly through the filter cartridge and into the hole which lets out the water into the main jug doesn't touch the water that is idlly sitting in the space around the cartridge.I've filled and refilled the jug with water and poured various amounts of water into white cups to see if there are any black particles and haven't had it happen at all so I am confident that even though it really shouldn't do that at all, it doesn't get into the water in the jug and is only in the compartment. I've attached pictures to make it more clear what I am on about. The particles in the white cup are from the residual water that is left under the cartridge and NOT from the water you pour from the main jug. As you can sew the water in the actual jug above the cookertop is perfectly transparent without any black or filter particles.

This was a great buy, I bought bottled water as I drink around 3 litres per day and our tap,water was awful. My husband also drinks lots of tea and water and now uses the jug water to fill the kettle. We keep it on the work top not in thefridge so no taste from any foods in fridgeIt will definately save us money and make our supermarket orders less. We even took it away with us for our weekend break so we could carry on with drinking water in ourroom. There are several negative reviews about this jug but I would say1. Make sure you clean it and rinse it well2 make sure you fill the jug and rinse the filter(allow it to soak for at least 30 mins ) then run through againwith full jug of water before starting to drink. That will stop any black bits from filter and make sure it tastes its best.3 Don't stand it too long with water in ( we don't use water left over night for anything but kettle)I thought about it for a while and looked at lots but this one has been a great buy particularly with 6 months filters included.

Excellent water filter. Uses standard Brita filters to produce measurably (in ppm) purer water. I use this to fill my kettle and coffee machine which would quickly get destroyed by hard water scale if filled straight from the tap.
