A great bit of kit.
This was a risky buy but I stuck to my Ryobi one plus ideal and, with this at least, it worked. This little chainsaw has worked really hard over the last few seasons and hasn't let me down. It's easy to clean and adjust, quiet too and so far has tackled everything I've asked it to cut through, from small timber to big and hard monkey puzzle wood. The battery life for both 4 and 5 ampere hour is around 2 - 3 hours of timber work for a range of mass and thickness. I tried the 2 ah battery. Don't bother. Also, I've tried different battery manufacturers? Its just not worth it when using a heavy powertool. I went through 2 or 3 before going back to Ryobi batteries despite their cost, and haven't had a problem since. I thoroughly recommend this little beast.

Great little saw
Great little chainsaw. Suprisingly powerful for such a light saw with effective cutting action. Used it to cut down some small trees with no problems.

Nice and light, good performance but does struggle to get started...
I was a bit skeptical about this chainsaw but for the price it's not too bad. I was surprised that the guard is fixed and doesn't click to cut the motor out but then again, it's unlikely you'd ever get any kickback off this tool. There's something odd about starting a cut though. The saw seems to work its way through the wood once it's started to make a groove but the initial starting of the cut can be tricky. Probably the lightness of it and lack of speed in the chain?

Ideal for garden
Great product. Not for large trees but ideal for trimming and cutting railway sleepers. Does not kickback and compact so easy to store. Good value for money providing you have a big enough garden. Battery normally lasts about 30 mins.
