gawd how I hate vacuuming the carpeted steps and then running back over them with a wet hand or whatever I could to try to remove the cat hair from the sides, seams and risers. this worked PURRfectly! also great on the sofa and other smooth-weave fabrics. be mindful, tho, when using on a wide weave texture or jersey-kind materials. while it still worked, I definitely used a much more gentle pressure on those items. the bottom line, for me, was I purchased it to remove hair from the carpet steps...and it did it extremely well!

I have 4 great danes, and the stairs are the hardest to keep clean, these make cleaning a breeze! It not only lifts the hair, human and dog hair, it lifts the dirt that gets left behind, and then you vacuum, it will add life to any carpet! We have one carpet (short nap) it brought back a flat spot! Definitely worth it! We got the 2 pack, and my twins clean the steps, they actually like to do it!
