Yes, but not too heavy. I'm 70 and a flip flop girl and didn't think I'd be able to wear them again, boy was I wrong. After trying my first pair , I ordered four more in different colors. They are so cushioning and comfortable I absolutely love them ! Really helps my severe planter facetious ! And their Really cute !

Q: Does the toe area of sole sit flat on the floor or is it tipped up as shown to help prevent tripping?

The very front of the toe is tipped up slightly. I have arthritis in my feet, knees, and had back surgery last summer, so I have lots of problems and have tried several different brands of sandals to find something that has some padding yet enough support for my high arch and instep. These are by far the best I’ve found including some really expensive orthopedic brands. I only wear flip flops style sandals because of straps pinching my toes. I guess you can tell I’m pretty picky and have multiple fitting problems. Haha. But seriously I love these flip flops and the price is certainly reasonable.

Q: i have wide feet and generally wear a wide width in most tennis shoes but not all. Do these shoes run narrow?

I have narrow feet and have no trouble with the width of the shoes. Since I wasn’t looking for a wide width, I’m not sure whether they offer them in different widths. Sorry I couldn’t be of much help.
