Great gaming PC, but not overclockable
I love this PC. So far I can run Cyberpunk 2077 on max with no issues, at about 90 FPS. I wanted to upgrade the RAM to run at 5600 speed; the RAM it came with is 4800. There is no way to do this. The latest bios removed the ability to overclock, so the RAM timing won't change to 5600 even with the right memory. You can overclock the CPU with Ryzen Master, but it can't change the RAM speed. I'm not sure why they mention overclocking in the description. Remember that this is only the AMD version; I have heard the Intel version can still be overclocked in bios.BUT, you really shouldn't need to OC anything, it works great out of the box!

In gaming heaven - make sure check TV settings
Got the 4080 7900 on sale for $2k. This is my first h end gaming PC after I debated doing a self build for hours & hours with many friends who told me I was a fool for going w Alienware/pre-built.But I'm not an expert in these things, so knowing it's done by experts is a plus for me, as long as I'm not paying too much extra. So, unless you are an expert in building PCs yourself, if you are like me and have any doubt about your ability to research and install yourself - go with this. Wait for price to get below 2.5k.It's amazing. Using LG C3 as monitor; v high rez and I blast thru AAA games at 110-120 fps. It's nearly silent only making a few fan noises under extreme duresss. And it's absolutely gorgeous. The fx settings are limitless.I have 0 regrets and wish I could spread this joy to the whole world!Edit after 3mo ownership:Still in heaven! I did Pax Dei alpha and while many in community were struggling to maintain fps, I was always the one going "no lag here; running fine!"No issues at all. Once in a long while it'll make a funny noise. Happened maybe 1ce month under extreme usage.Ps -Make sure you manually change your TV rez/refresh rate to 120hrtz. The default capped me at 30 it took me half a day to figure out why!

It's been a month, and I still haven't even been able to turn it on.
Bought this as a X-mas gift on Nov 27th (cyber-Monday) and I officially won't have this purchase sitting under the Christmas tree come tomorrow.Arrived Dec 4th it a box that looked adequately packaged with no visible damage. Waited until everyone had gone to bed to open it and begin setting up Windows and preinstalling some games to have it gaming ready on Xmas day, once unwrapped. Followed instructions and went to turn it on and nothing happened. Tried the troubleshooting tips on Dell's website, no luck. Reached out to the service desk live chat and got a bot - it's not a 24-hour help desk. Waited until normal business hours next day and contacted a Dell representative who tried walking me through the same steps that I attempted the night before. She determined that it was a faulty motherboard and set up a Dell technician to arrive in a couple days to replace it. Later that week I received a message that the technician's arrival would be pushed out until following week to await the part they needed. Technician arrived a week after initial appointment and replaced motherboard. Plugged in and actually got some lights to turn on but was flashing a fault code and wouldn't boot up. Technician contacted the help desk to troubleshoot based on fault code which he understood to be a power supply issue. Advised that the next step would be to have Dell mail me a box and then send this out to a repair facility for diagnostic and repair (why isn't this in the technician's wheelhouse??). Dell mailed a box, and in the meantime, I reached out to Amazon to figure out what options I had with them. They advised they could provide a refund but would not be providing me a replacement. Getting a refund meant that I would have to go and repurchase this without the cyber-Monday discount, which is really what made this purchase affordable in the first place. I checked the Dell service page, and it indicated that if I followed the timeline on repairs, I could have it back by Christmas, so I shipped the PC to the facility once the box arrived. Tracking my repair ticket, package had arrived Dec 18th and was still showing a back by Xmas date and the facility began diagnostics. I checked update later in the week to anticipate and time out me being available to sign for the package upon it's return, however I received an update that the repair facility had placed an order for "one or more parts" that would be delayed and that my new ETC isn't until January 3rd?! I'm beyond frustrated with this situation. Never have I ever received such complications surrounding a purchase and here I am, out thousands of dollars, with absolutely nothing to show for it. Thank god I purchased the asurion extended warrantee with this (first time buying a Dell) as I have no confidence that this will be last of my issues throughout the lifetime of the purchase. As it stands, I don't even have the computer in my possession to actually initiate the Amazon refund at this point.I've purchased several ROG computers, up until this point without any issues. Dell has a lot to make up for here and as it stands, I don't think I'll be making a purchase from them again in the future.

Decent Computer
Has some issues, maybe unrelated to the components. For me it doesn't work with my GoXLR. Which is sad because now it’s just a $500 brick. Recently started crashing for unknown reasons. But overall a decent computer that runs. Technology is just a mystery sometimes. Works for some things, and bricks for others. No noise at all for me.

7900x -- RTX 4080
Waited until the new super cards came out but the price of GPUS did not fall.. sadly. so Seeing the price stuck at $2500 for a few weeks I held off on buying even though they say that was a discounted price. Was just too much for me to spend , however I got home from work and I checked again and it was $2099 !!! I was like okay buy now within two minutes I bought it. I couldn't be happier with the purchase ! Keep in mind I'm not an expert with hardware and I only have used it for gaming. The computer is beautiful with the customizable LEDS, everyone I show the computer too love how it looks. It's super quiet I have never heard the fans, now I haven't gamed on something to demanding yet. But at a good price, it's excellent.

Alienware! FTW!
I’ve been a pc gamer all my life and decided to try the latest gen consoles which was good for a while but I felt something missing with the experience so I went back to a gaming pc and now I will not go back to console. Alienware really made an awesome machine with this, cool, quiet, fast! I bought this over the newer r16 in my opinion it’s a better case design, and for the price I got a faster system.
