After trying to conceive for over a year using standard ovulation test strips, and I wasn't certain I was even ovulating every month, so I bit the bullet and spent the money for this. The Mira system has been so much more informative about what's going on with my hormones, and its ability to detect and even confirm ovulation is really, really helpful! It's really easy to use, and there are more options available in the app than I chose to explore. It's hard to say it was worth the cost, simply because it is SO expensive... but it IS basically at-home lab testing. I reasoned that it was worth the money if it would help us conceive without having to pursue fertility treatments. Thankfully, we just found out that I'm pregnant! I truly don't think it would've happened for us if I hadn't invested in this product.I had read in a few reviews that people had gotten defunct wands, which is devastating at this price, but I didn't have a single issue! Every single wand worked!Since the wands are mad expensive, here's a suggestion:The app will recommend testing literally every day until your next period starts. To make the 20 pack of wands last more than a single month, I recommend that you stop testing once you A) confirm ovulation, or B) reach the point where ovulation should have happened if it was going to but looks like it isn't this month.

These were great. I always cringe a little bit when I have to spend so much money buying these but honestly, it’s worth it.

I want to preface my review by saying that I do appreciate this device and what it is capable of. However, I've gone through 2 and a half batches of test wands at this point and in every batch I have had multiple failed test wands or bad tests. I've had to reach out to customer service, which takes days to get back in touch, in order to reach a resolution and have bad tests removed. I recommend following their video tutorials and making sure you really read the instructions to insure you don't waste any wands but even if you follow everything to T you may still have bad wands or issues with test results. Like I had a test result that would have indicated I had a serious medical issue and it ended up being a bad test. I ended up talking to some other people who have had the same experience.It's a new technology that is amazing to have in terms of knowing more about yourself but my recommendation is to confirm your test results by running it side-by-side with another OPK. If both tests indicate low, medium, high LH then you could probably safely assume the results Mira gave you are accurate but otherwise you have no way of knowing how truthful it is without looking at other data inputs. So whether you are trying to conceive or avoiding it I wouldn't rely only on this Mira device.Another issue is that the app is obviously run by an algorithm which means bad test results can skew what the app tells you are your most fertile days or when to expect your cycle because of this I really urge people to take the app with a grain of salt. It's a good resource but do not rely solely on just the app and this device to give you the full picture.So to break it down on why it's 3 stars and not 4 or 5 or 1: Customer service is slow. Resolution with removing bad data is slow. The app is buggy. You can enter your temp but it may not be there tomorrow. So data lost. I recommend recording temp elsewhere. You have to enter a password every time you want to access the app as well. Annoying. Test wands are finnicky, expensive, and non-reliable. Some test wands in every batch will fail. You cannot rely just on this device. This is a hefty price point and you need to confirm data to be sure if you want to really pinpoint your ovulation. I'm sure overtime the app's bugs will be resolved and the tech will improve and so on. For now, it's an investment and I recommend not putting all your eggs in once basket. If you get this device I hope you enjoy it, but please keep these things in mind so you won't be disappointed.

Has been helpful for me to understand my cycle with pcos

I have been using Mira max wands to track my hormones for the last three months. My wife and I are beginning our fertility journey and have been pleased so far with all the information we are gaining for our doctors as we begin our fertility journey with IUI. Blood work confirmed my ovulation when Mira wands showed spikes in Lh levels and we are optimistic that it will continue to guide us as we begin trying. It has so much more information than the clear blue advanced digital smiles.

I’ll start by saying that without a doubt mira has aided me in conceiving several times (resulting in losses, but it did it’s job nonetheless). Even with PCOS, knowing that your levels are off IS good information to have, even if it’s not what you’re hoping to see. That being said, at some time recently, they changed the collection cups. The old plastic cups were very easy to use and master, the new ones are paper cones. Yes, paper. They leak, can’t be set down on a counter top or toilet, they’re difficult to hold and use without a huge mess. You have to plan to do everything one handed and then manage to place it back over the toilet seat to dump out, while still sitting down 💀 I hope they change them Back because these collection cups are borderline unusable to me. For the cost of products, I expect better.

I love how thorough the Mira monitor is compared to others on the market. It's user friendly and had an app to go along with it.First time using Mira, I got pregnant. Unfortunately, I had an early miscarriage, but I am confident it won't take long with Mira on my side!
