Bridging the learning gap
This book is wonderfully clear. The authors manage to present tough material in a concise way. I bought the first book and this one as well. Very happy. Every thing is broken into small, manageable, snippets, easing the way to learning.

Best bridge book for both review and learning.
This is my go-to bridge book. They separate out the teaching from the practice and their summary of each convention is in a list form and easy to refer to. Each convention has exercises to practice. I've been playing 2 years and this is the single best book I have on bridge

What's in this book????
This is an update of an earlier review shown below that was useful because some reader did post a table of contents so others would know what was included. It's a good description of the conventions selected but I was confused why they would rank "Flannery" a LEARN THESE FIRST when "Weak Jump Shifts" and "Puppet Stayman" were labeled as MORE DIFFICULT."Flannery" is seldom encountered while "Puppet Stayman" is used by most long term partnerships responding to partner's opening bid of 2NT and some of us over a 1NT bid since we often open 1NT with a weak five card major. Also, "Weak Jump Shifts" are used often.Don't expect to use all or most of these conventions but you will find many of them worth including in your partnership agreement with long term partners.==========================================================I'm considering whether to buy this book since I enjoyed the earlier book but there is NO information provided. This is NOT like Amazon. Clicking on the Table of Contents brings up a supposedly earlier version of this book that has nothing to do with advanced bridge conventions. If anyone knows how to find out which conventions are described in the book, you would do a great service by letting the rest of us know.

Another excellent book from The 25...You Should know series
Barbara Seagram does it again. Every one of her bridge books is instructive, concise, and easy to understand. The quizzes at the end of each chapter perfectly capture the lesson taught it each section. I recommend all of her books to my students and have found this one to be helpful to me as I become a better bridge player. Perhaps I will not play most of the conventions in this book but as a competetive player one should try to be familiar with what the opposition is playing. Highly recommended!

Best Convention Book and her early book 25 Bridge Conventions
The best Convention book in the market IMHO. Misapplication of conventions would most of the time give you a bad board score. With many exercises in the end of each chapter, Ms. Seagram treats each convention carefully and points out the do's and don't. IMHO, it is hazardous to use a convention without knowing the details by reading the quick WEB info or the ACBL short description giving typically only one example.

This is a great book, well written and easy to understand
This is a great book, well written and easy to understand. We wore out the first book we had and needed to replace it! For the duplicate bridge player, this is a must have!

Excellent bridge resource
The format of this book makes it easy to understand and learn the conventions. Explanations are clear. Examples abound. There are even mini tests to insure that you "get it".The series was recommended by our bridge teacher, so it is esteemed by professionals as well as by amateurs.I only wish I could put this under my pillow and absorb it by osmosis when I'm sleeping.I recommend this book to anyone who wishes to improve his or her bridge game.
