Simply brilliant for occasional use
These are simply brilliant if you only need glasses occasionally, for example in a dimly lit restaurant with small text on a black background menu. Since I stuck these on my phone, three friends have seen them and also bought them. They work well and look a bit silly, which is a fun dinner talking point :-D

Simple and practical
This is the second time I buy one for my husband who hates wearing reading glasses. He keeps them in a pouch attached to his mobile phone. Very handy.

Need constant replacing of a great product
It fits perfectly and stays in place without falling off. Tried on lots of friends noses and it stays in place. Problem is that constant use (taking out of its slot and sliding back in) means the bridge connecting the 2 lenses breaks. I just broke my third pair and not sure wether to invest in a 4th or not. I think this would work well as a purely emergency pair that you used infrequently, not a pair that you used many times a day.

Pince-Nez? Seek and Ye Will Find!
This is not the first time that I have purchased similar items and certainly won't be the last. They are brilliant devices but unfortunately very easy to lose. With regard to the ThinOptics derivation these are among the best. They do not have a thick circular optic frame like the Spex which can be visually distracting and reminiscent of John Lennon on a bad hair day. Conversely, the ThinOptics have a discrete, slim frame in a variety of colours and the nose clips are nicely implemented. However, it is the latter that have caused several reviewers to note that the nose clips can break very easily. I personally have been guilty of carelessly inserting the glasses into their case and almost catching and distorting the clip. This should not be an issue if exercising a modicum of care. Other reviewers have mentioned that they have lost the glasses from the case. Believe me, the ThinOptics locate securely within their case which additionally contains a small location lip to prevent them slipping out. However, if the case is dropped the glasses under tension will often ping out and, if unnoticed, it's goodbye to twenty three quid. So... on balance these glasses are very good indeed but they might not be around for too long. If, like me, you wince at the heavy replacement cost then consider the Eye-Fly Pilots Glasses at one quarter of the price. They are equally thin, of similar optical quality and fit readily into the ThinOptics holder. They are something of a hidden secret but Google and ye will find.

Superb
Bought these a few times as i keep losing them!! They are a bit fragile but due to the size that is to be expected.

Nice idea but flawed execution, customer service and advertising
This is a product I really wanted to love but ultimately can’t. The idea is great, I have lost count of the number of times I have wanted to reach for my reading glasses somewhere only to find I have forgotten them or misplaced them. Given the way we live, you are rarely too far from your phone so having an emergency pair attached to the case is really useful. The glasses themselves are moderately comfortable and fit for purpose for short periods of time. Forget the models in the picture, they are really small and look like they are made of plastic so unless you have a really small head they will never score you style points. The issue I have experienced is that although the glasses themselves do appear fairly robust the nose grips certainly are not. Both of mine snapped off within a couple of weeks (unless you are really careful they catch on the side of the storage case when you put them away which quickly weakens them). Once they have inevitably fallen off, you can still use the glasses but they are much looser and now verge on really uncomfortable. Which brings me to my biggest irritation. I don’t mind supporting innovation and whilst the circa £20 price seemed on the high side, the lifetime guarantee swung the decision in their favour. If you have (and you inevitably will) have the misfortune to have to utilise - ThinOPTiCS customer service is truly appalling. 5 increasingly terse emails into them finally elicited a curt response informing me that any replacement pair would come require a $10 postage charge. Given that these must cost less than £1 per pair to manufacture, it is not a lifetime guarantee at all just a bit of a marketing racket to sell you a second pair at a marginally less extortionate mark up than they made on the first pair!! In summary, there is definitely a use case but look around for alternatives that don’t over promise durability and charge you a respectable price per pair. The irony is that if I had these glasses when I was buying them I would probably have been able to read some small print that explained all this........

Overpriced
Maybe something to keep with you as a back up but not for everyday use. Not easy to keep the lenses clean, fingerprint magnet, it will fall off as soon as you move your head. Return not accepted. To expensive for a piece of cheap plastic.
