Kair Anti-Mould Additive for Emulsion & Gloss Paint - 50 ml - Protects against mildew and fungus growth (1)

This is a fantastic product my porch was black with mould, I cleaned it regularly but alas mould returned. I added hair to the paint two years ago and I haven't had mould growth since. A great product

I bought this in 2017, it's now 2021 and the room that I used it in is still completely mould free.The bedroom had a very bad mould problem that was allowed to spread by the people living here at the time. I was shocked they had let it get so bad. It was actually starting to spread around the rest of the house. The walls were black and there was mould growing in stalactites off the furniture, that's how bad it was!!!I cleaned the walls and furniture with a fungicidal wash, let it dry out ,used an air purifier to try and get rid of any mould spores floating around. Then I used Dulux paint on the walls, with this stuff mixed in. I wasn't sure how long it would last, but here we are 4 years later and there is still no sign of mould in that room.I seem to remember that it mixed well with the paint and went on the walls just fine.May 2024: still mould free in 2024. I haven't had to do any work on the room since 2017.

Again I am asked for a review for something I have just received and have not used yet. For a product like this it might be more appropriate to write a review after a few years, since the product is designed to inhibit the rather slow development of mould. However, I have used this product before, and that was several years ago. It appears to have been 90% effective inside a cupboard and that is the reason for my recent repeat purchase. Good product!

Really does help stop mould growing compared to anti-mould paint. Been using it for quite a few years and have used it in every room in my house except the bathroom. Doesn't work great if it's a super damp environment but works well in bedrooms. You may have to do some touch ups in advance and make sure to prep the walls properly - if you have moulded walls, scrape off the old paint before you paint, don't paint over mould, it will grow back

I got this in June of 2023 had really bad mould in daughter bedroom stripped the wall and put backing paper up add the solution to the paint and pained the walls iv waited till now jan 2025 to leave a review I must say this stuff is brilliant nothing has came back and my daughter has not been coughing since I did I would recommend this if you have mould in rooms

This material is easy to use & I hope it will prevent regrowth nof black mould. We used it in conjunction with Kair surface cleanser which is also a very good product

so far so good and its been a while... however, do not think you can just patch problematic areas. we just went over certain corners etc and blended it in and it was fine but once dries it does not dry the same as the paint without it, it is very very noticeable!

I added this to 2.5l of Dulux silk emulsion (Cornflower white) to paint a north facing wall that is prone to cold and hence black mould in winter especially around patio door.The neighbouring walls do not have the anti mould additive and I noticed no discernible colour difference between the different walls so there is no problem using this product providing you paint the entire wall with it. It should be pointed out that Cornflower white is a fairly light blue grey paint which may have led to my success.As the paint has only recently been applied I cannot comment on how well it work for its intended purpose as the weather is now too warm, that will need to wait until next winter!
