JXE JXO The Thunder: Throwing Spikes Thickness Up to 0.275", 10.2" Stainless Steel No Spin Throwing Set with Nylon Belt Sheath - Upgraded Version

I have been throwing these for about a 3 weeks now and they are holding up to: misses into concrete floors, bounce-backs into metal furnishings, and etc. I have yet to really sharpen these but I have touched up one or two deformations in the tip. The metal used in these throwers very strong and resilient. Absolutely no complaints with the balance and design. The pommel is purposely shaped like a helmet to deflect any other knife away from it to avoid just hammering it with another throw. Very well-thought-out.Overall, a durable, pro grade, inexpensive set of throwing spikes. The Thunder!

Very durable. Had many knife to knife hits and no broken tips. Few bent but easily repaired. Quite heavy, doesn’t require much throwing force. Best throwers I’ve ever bought!

The media could not be loaded. I cannot say enough good about these knives. They are well weighted, durable and have a great shape. I would recommend these to a brand new thrower and praise them to even the most experienced. The price point is un beatable.

These are fantastic. I have tried most of the Amazon spikes and these are my favorite for sure. Better than the hit Dudu beaks simply because of the steel. Grant it’s carbon so you need to keep it dry and oiled but they are durable, haven’t snapped like some of the other JXO’s I’ve used, and most importantly aren’t developing burrs very quickly when they strike rocks or other knives. I’ve had nasty splinters from stainless steel knives due to that and haven’t with these. Plus the shape is dope.

I've only been throwing knives for about 9 months and I started off using JXE JXO 9.4" Throwing Spikes, which are fantastic for all kinds of throws - military half-spin, sidearm, no-spin and hammer. The only one I don't quite have down with them is the full spin. Enter the JXE JXO Thunder Spike, which is 10.2" of well-balanced hefty awesomeness. I picked up the 6-pack on Amazon Prime Day earlier this week for a great price and just spent about 2 hours putting them through their paces.The only "complaint" I have - which isn't really a complaint - is that even a moderate force throw will sink the tip 1.5" into an end-grain target due to the weight. If you're using no-spin or military half-spin, you have to try REALLY hard to have a bad throw. My only regret is that I didn't get two 6-packs while they were on sale, but I'll be watching for another deal. If you want an easy-to-throw knife that's got some bite, look no further!

these are first rate- thank goodness there are plenty of people on line who will teach you to throw. I use mine outdoors, in case one gets away from me (which happens pretty frequently, to tell you the truth). I make a backstop out of 2x4s cut to 2" length, glued on end so I'm throwing into the grain. Works pretty good. My new plan is to tie a helium filled balloon to the dogs tail and have him jump around a bit for moving target practice. I'll let you know how it goes in a week.

I have several brands of throwing knives and these knives are my favorite and a very good buy. I also have 6 of the 9.25'' and enjoy those also. I am very happy with the purchase.
