I have a 17 yo who is constantly misplacing his wallet. When I saw this, I thought it would work well for him.While is does fill the need of a location device, it does also have downsides. To keep last known location of item the device is used for, you have to ensure the device is always connected to your phone. Location services also must be constantly on in order to keep track. This leads to a shortened battery life for a phone, as well as an issue if your phone only allows connectivity to one bluetooth at a time.For what I used it for (son's wallet), it's fine. His complaint is he had to select his devices and manually connect to his earbuds in order to use them. While it is a limitation of both phone and device, it still doesn't merit 5 stars, since locating with certainty requires you be within the range of bluetooth connectivity, and constantly connected.

This was a waste. I lost my keys in the house and could not hear the sound it makes. Finally, I tore my house apart and found it in between the couch cushions. I tested the sound once I found them, and it was not very loud. The only saving grace was that I was able to confirm they were in my house on the app.

So far, this key finder seems like a well made device. A very simple and elegant design. No buttons or switches, just the keychain link and a piece of plastic that needs to be pulled out before you can use it. The pairing was easy. I just downloaded the app (Findthing) and followed the instructions. Once it is paired, you are able to see the unit on the app and if you press a button in the App, the key finder will play a sound (in my opinion: not very loud). Another thing that I found a bit vague was the way it shows how far the keys are. It only gives a range (ex: <1-3 m, >3 m, etc.), and also it doesn't show in which direction. The range just gets closer or further from the device.

It seems to work fine...I haven't tested the distance however because after my first use I didn't have to. Believe me....if you can hear this chiming then you DID NOT lose whatever it is the you're looking for. It sounds so faint my father was not able to hear it in the front seat of his sedan when I was letting it chime freely in the backseat (the car was in motion). I have my issues with Tile but it's worth the extra money in this case.

I got this for my son's remote control cause he loses it aaaaall the time!And this was such a great idea!It came perfectly packaged with simple instructions, an extra battery and a double side tape toattach the little finder on the device you want.It is small and it's flat. I placed it on the top part of the fire stick tv remote.Maybe feels a little bit like it could come off, but my son's remote has a "case" anyways so that will hold it just in case. It also comes with a little hanger like a key chain.The sound that it makes its not so loud so you actually have to be paying a lot of attention and bequiet while you look for it. Might be not so practical to find something in a big house, butlets be honest... there's not to many places where something that specific can be.Also the sound is kind of a song, so it wont blend with other sounds.I installed the app, synchronized it with my phone and started working right away.Zero science. Easy and fast.Totally recommended.

The media could not be loaded.  I keep losing my keys so this device should help me in finding it when I am in a hurry! It came with an extra battery which is a good thing! I got the app using the QR code and it connected pretty quickly. It shows the location of the item on the app and its easier to track it as it plays a sound when you try to find it and I am all set to use it- Thanks Amazon!

I would say your money and time is better spent on an Air Tag or Tile.

Ho acquistato questo oggetto per il ritrovamento delle chiavi di casa. Per un oggetto che deve stare spesso sotto stress (portachiavi in tasca, borsa, zaino ecc.) mi aspettavo qualcosa di più robusto di solo plastica. Dopo poco l'oggetto è stato ritrovato in fondo alla borsa, con il gancino al portachiavi (di plastica) rotto. L'uso di qualche parte in acciaio sarebbe più utile per una resistenza per questo tipo di oggetti. Oggetto utile quindi, ma troppo delicato.
