Very good headphones
Very impressed with the quality of the sound. May be a bit small if you have a very big head.

Gorgeous, an understated design classic.
Superb at almost everything. Be aware that the volume slide function can be a little erratic, meaning you might accidentally blast the living daylights out of your ears - there is some latency in the control loop. Beautifully engineered, comfortable and ... not made in China. Built up to a standard, not down to a price. Highly recommended!

A Great Bluetooth headphone for sound quality
I had wanted these to be perfect from first hearing them. They come close! For me sound wise they beat B&O, B&W and Bose. The new Sony offering comes very close on sound, so close in fact the purchase decision will be down to features, style preference and comfort. Portable headphones are becoming so good these days that the decision is becoming more of go for what “you “ like and not merely follow the mass reviews. Here’s my opinion by featureSound - have patience, make a few EQ tweaks and burn in for 24hrs 5/5Comfort - for me, good clamp, comfortable pads, nice sized on ears, not too small 5/5Build quality - premium and so far very impressive 5/5Touch control - mmm , most will stick to using device controls but I have mastered the swipe forward to skip track though 3/5MIY - brilliant headphones rush released with a hearing test and personalisation app that is rubbish and does not work on the majority of android devices I’ve tried. Don’t get me wrong the concept is great and Beyerdynamic do state they will get this fixed but come on? For this price? 1/5Price - Audiophile maybe, working as advertised no - these are worth £300 full stop. 3/5My overall decision has been to keep them as they sound sublime with a good source. One day I hope to be able to complete the hearing profile and upload it to the headphones and if that happens I will update the review.

A deeply overpriced, underwhelming experience from Beyerdynamic
I really expected more from Beyerdynamic having owned a pair of their headphones before. These were £399 when I purchassed them and I soon regretted every penny. Please note that I'm writing this review a few months after purchase, and used them frequently whilst they were still working.Just to be clear, I wouldn't class myself as an audiophile, but I really appreciate good sound. I also need the warmth that good, rich bass brings. I own a par of Earsonic Velvets for when I'm at my desk, Bose soundsport wireless for running, a set of Sony MDR-EX650AP to throw around (seriously good value for money if you need a pair of cheap and cheerfuls you won't mind leaving on a train occasionally) and I'm looking for a new set of over ear wireless headphones.I thought it would be easiest to summarise why I don't like the Aventhos:- Lacking in bass with average mids and highs. Really disappointing. (I swear there was a day I stuck my cheap and cheerful sonys in and realised I'd missed their sound. They cost me £40)- Bad connectivity, having to go into my bluetooth settings 90% of the time to connect them with my iPhone X- Connection often dropped for a split second- After a couple of months the left ear went, and now they sound fuzzy and broken. Completely unusable.- Siri functionality NEVER worked. I even got in touch with Beyerdynamic to find out if this was unique to my pair and was told it was to do with Apple restrictions. This is untrue as since then I've owned other wireless headphones and had no trouble long-pressing a button to access Siri.- Although comfortable at first, they soon start to feel a bit tight and warm, clamped to your ears. It will feel like a relief taking them off after an hour or two.- They let a lot of sound out.- If i'm going to pay £400 for a set of headphones that doesn't have noise cancelling capabilities, then I need to be really impressed with the experience. The Bose QuietComfort 35 II can be found for almost £150 cheaper, they sound considerably better and have noise cancelling capabilities. The Aventhos may look a bit smaller and more compact, but it's not worth it.I don't usually write reviews, and hate to leave a bad one. But I really felt like I was taken for a ride with these, with Beyerdynamic using their brand name to get more money out of people.I used to love Beyerdynamic headphones, but after my experience with Aventhos I will now look elsewhere. As much as I hate buying into high street headphones which I know have a hefty mark up, my experience of both the Bose and Sony equivalents are substantially better in quality, sound and price. These headphones are simply not worth the money you pay for them and I would avoid them at all costs, however tempting it is to spend the money on trusting the Beyerdynamic brand name.

Aventho Advantage
Aventho wired, doozies. I have been looking for "travelling" headphones that give good sound with some degree of practicality whilst out and about and these lovely little headphones deliver both by the bucket load. I am somewhat of a headphone enthusiast having owned many styles and brands. The build quality on these 'phones is excellent, well made joints and hinges, metal headband and swivels. I have the Sennheiser hd25 Amperior for comparison and on most metrics the Aventhos win out, sound wise the Aventhos have a cleaner better defined bass response, more pleasing mids and more listenable and less fatiguing highs. Sound wise my one niggle with the Aventhos is that they maybe stop short of the best when it comes to treble response but they are still very good in this regard, voices in particular sounding fantastic and life like. One feature that really stands out is the ease of changing cables, simply a 3.5mm in each ear cup which means replacement cables are easy to source. I am currently running the Aventhos in balanced mode from my pioneer dap and the sound and convenience of this combo is a revelation. To summarize, worth every penny and will last and last

Small buzzing bluetooth sound in background.
My pair had a small buzzing bluetooth sound while in use. They sound grate but this bugging sound... is so off! I don’t own them any more.

Great Sound, Very Poor Controls
Build quality and Sound second to none from my point of view, big but, the touch pad and Bluetooth control very very poor. Also Beyerdynamic's website and customer service very very poor, friendly but no support. I have returned my set to Amazon, as I could not believe the controls did not work on such premium item. I did first try to get the them repaired directly by Beyerdynamics but they really did not want to know, I tried to order directly with them, they wouldn't take my order! But their website did not seem to be working correctly.I am going to reorder them now, reading other reviews it seems like there is a fault with the touch pad control but you can get one that works eventually! Sound is that good, I am willing to keep trying until I get a good pair!
