This is very good for using with travel and not wanting to bring your dock everywhere. Quality is great, never had an issue.

First of all, this does not come with a charging cable. I've noticed that some buyers missed that part of the product description. As a reminder, you cannot use the switch with the joy-cons connected to the unit. I would get video but could not control the functions until I disconnected the joy-cons from the Switch body. Once detached you have the option of using the joy-cons or connecting your favorite wireless controller. Connectivity was fantastic. The Switch will charge while playing but don't expect a full charge once your gaming session is over. My son started with 39% and played numerous rounds of Fortnite and finished with 52%. We like the flexibility and convenience of not lugging around the docking station. If you don't have a built-in USB-A connection then you will have to go the wall plug-in option. Either way works fine but necessary to operate.

I like to take my switch with me when I'm traveling, mostly so I'm not bored out of my mind waiting in airplane terminals during layovers or nights in hotels with nothing to do. Now, this doesn't have much use for the first situation, but for the hotel situation, it's fantastic. All you need is the power cord and this, no need to go lugging around the bulky docking stations out there. This fits neatly in my switch case, so it's easy to travel with, and it works as advertised.

This is portable and convenient, but, it absolutely most be connected to a power source to work, so that’s good to know. Have yet to use it as we will be taking it on vacation with us soon and we purchased it for that, but the connection worked. I like that it only requires one usbc cable instead of a usbc and an hdmi, one less thing to worry about.

Works fine. no issues. Only had it a week. Very simple set up and use.

I used this with a capture card to stream to my computer. It immediately and seemingly irreversibly made it so that my switch no longer works with the official dock. I used an official Nintendo charging cable with both docks. Use at your own risk.

This cable worked really well as a substitute dock for our Nintendo Switch when traveling. It worked as both a HDMI connector and you can plug in the power adapter. We were able to plug it into both airbnbs and hotels that we stayed at to put the game on larger screens, saving us from having to pack the actual docking station.

Use this as my travel dock and leave my Nintendo dock at home. Works perfectly, just make sure you bring your power adapter with you so it works woth the switch. On a side note it's doubles as a great power adapter and HDMI adapter for any MacBook that uses USB C.

Works perfectly and takes up very little space. A nice option to travel with as well.
