Burnout 3: Takedown (PS2)

As soon as you put this game into your disk drive right from the word go non-stop exitement it right at your fingertips. The graphics are superb, never have i seen so many beautiful cars and although the game has no liscenced cars, this leaves the developers to create the strangest and best pieces of motor powered transportation i have ever seen. The modes to this game come from two extremes, there are those which are pure racing, and then those which are a non stop crash-mayem derby. Then other modes fit snugly in between. There is realy something in this game for everyone, those who want a fast paced racing game but are tired with the "realistic" handeling of Gran Turismo 3. Those who are more into the desruction side of games will find hours of enjoyment in the Crash modes, where you aim is to line your car up for a jump and cause as much destruction as possible. I'm personally sick and tired of all the arguments between Gran Turismo fans and Burnout fans. These games are not alike. Gran Turismo is deffinatly for the gamer who would prefer to spend hours trying to find the perfect line or the perfect car setup. Burnout it for the kind of gamer that is completely exhillerated by games which, as a rule dare you to blink. I have yet to find another game which rewards my type of gamer (ie the ones that will continuously ram other cars of the road), i love this game and ever since completing it i have been trying to ram other cars into walls in NFSU in the hope that I will be rewarded with some much needed BOOST. Buy this game, there is not another arcade racer out there like it.

Product was described as very good yet had large lacerations in the case and the disk was severely scratched. Luckily the game was able to run but a bad condition would have fit better.

I'll keep this review very brief indeed. BUY IT !! You have a vast array of races and crash simulations to compete in with each rewarding you by unlocking further elements within the game. The graphics are amazing and if you've got 5:1 surround sound, you can blast the bass into next doors living room. I've only had the game four days, but I've become a Burnout junkie. For sheer arcade speed and cool gameplay, I strongly recommend you pick this title up. Even if you hire, before buying, you won't be disappointed.

Ever since I played Burnout 3 in 2008, no racing game has satisfied me the way this one did! Over the top crashes, extreme speeds and a huge array of cars and challenges are all but some of the things that can be done in B3. If you have an old PS2 and want to know what games are best for it, this is one of the top 3 ever. Even 10 years on it looks fantastic on a HD TV through a component cable! Not many games will give you the rush that this one does!

Cool game, my 3 year old loves this game easy to pick and customise the cars not to much loading or waiting for the game to start which is always good, easy to control the cars without too much thinking.

Burnout3 is in a league of it's own. Now i'm not going to tire you with game descriptions and content but tell you a short story. I purchased this item a week ago, especially for my upcoming holiday away from work. Four days later and 36 hours of gameplay i was 16 gold medals away from completing it. As addictive as cigarettes, you'll probably phone in sick just like i did just to play. SO much for my holiday game.

One of the best combat racers there is. Not even on the PS3 - is there a challenger to this game. Super fast fun with lots of adrenaline being released for a whole multitude of challenges.
