Excellent Amplifer! Very musical results far beyond its price
An amazing amplifier given its size and price point.Properly set up, run in for 24 hours and with a decent Hi-Res Audio signal input, decent cables and suitable speakers and it makes music. The sound is very clean and detailed with no harshness or sibilance. The flat signal response reveals a lot of detail in the music. Not weighted to either end of the frequency range. Very dynamic, good fast attack on solo piano - always a difficult one to project realistically. Not a sound that is aggressive or wearing to listen to.Choosing matching components to provide a balanced system is important, so give it an MP3 input signal you get what you get - medium results, not Hi-Fi.As always one is listening to the system, not individual components. System matching very much matters to the tonal colour especially with cables and speakers. Certainly changing the speakers to +£1000 Spendor, Monitor Audio, Mission etc would unbalance the system and reveal some short-comings - but that would be to use this amplifier far outside its scope of system. One comment I see on several other reviews is the volume control level position ... In my opinion, this knob should be pulled off and set to the 6 o'clock position with the amplifier off (a bit like some older Naim units). Them when the unit is turned on, the volume control rate and progression are correct, in comparison with most expectations with minimum volume around 7 and 10 - 11 being a fair listening level. The 48v PSU now supplied with the unit is capable of providing the dynamic transient peaks without strain, providing adequate reserves and control to avoid 'smearing' of fast pieces and allow quiet passages to feel realistically contrasted with a wide dynamic range. The simplicity of single input and dispensing with tone controls means fewer sound compromises, and gives a superb perfomance far above the expected quality at this price. Enabling you to stop spending more cash on Hi-Fi and spend more on the music itself.Very enjoyable music-making and Very Recommended!

Fine for small rooms but doesn't live up to the hype
I'd seen stellar reviews of this amp on YouTube and got it when it appeared on a deal of the day. I tried it in place of a Denon RCD-M37DAB mini system in my kitchen, with Wharfdale Diamond 9.1 speakers. After switching between the two several times I couldn't make out any significant difference between them. In its day (2008) the Denon was winning awards and high praise, so this tiny Fosi amp matching that performance for silly money is an achievement in itself. However, in no way is it the 'giant killer' that some reviewers claim. For a start, the 300W power rating is a joke. Digging into the Fosi website shows that to be with a 48V 10A power supply, that Fosi apparently doesn't even make, let alone supply! It's also at the clipping point of the amp and so would have awful distortion. With the 32V standard supply in the box, I've seen reported test results of 30W into 8 ohms and I think that's probably about right, given the volume I was able to get in my fairly small kitchen, with the volume knob turned up over half way producing 75-80dB. So in conclusion this is a nice little amp that is perfectly suitable for small rooms, at least with the 32V supply. At the price it's brilliant value for money, as long as you don't buy into the hype and expect too much from it.

Amazing Amplifier
This tiny amp has blown my mind. The sound quality for the prize is absolutely superb. The available power reserve (I did go for the high spec power supply) is massive 50% volume is more than loud enough 😀Very happy I bought this little beauty.

Great amp
I neeeded an amp to use for extra speaker sin my system and laso one for dual transducers for bass rumbles. I got 2 Fosi ampsfor each task. Botht he amps have worked well adn are really affordable. The power rating needs a bit of reseach though but I didn't have to be too critcal for the aplications I was using. The sound clarity on the amps are pretty reasonable and give good sound reproduction.I did find that I need to source the larger power packs though to get the most out of these amps adn so eoither buy witht 48 volt pack or factor as a likely extra dependant on your needs.

Amazing for the price
Wow. The sound from these are almost as good as my Cambridge audio sr20 which I bought for over £400 iirc. That's with the standard adapter. Annoyingly when I bought this it didn't come with a 48v adapter bundle so I had to buy it separately but with that the sound is actually better than the Cambridge audio. Audio quality is extremely detailed and bass is super clean and rounds out the sound very well. I'm using these with Dali opticons but unless your using speakers that are hard to drive or can run on lower wattage then you'd probably be fine with the standard adapter. That said the 48v really just added that something
