Great rookie force feedback wheel at a great price!
Great rookie starting force feedback wheel and pedal set! I picked the R5 bundle as I wanted a great entry-level force feedback wheel as opposed to a gear or belt-driven wheel that included pedals and wouldn't break the bank. This fit the bill perfectly. Many of the other starter wheels look like toys in comparison; this is a real wheel. I thought the 5 Nm feedback would be wimpy with iRacing but it seriously gives full effect and can feel it in my wrists and shoulders after a few hours (but I'm an old dude). I want good feedback but I don't want to feel like I am wrestling with the car. Don't make the mistake of believing that a 20Nm wheel must be 4 times as good as a 5Nm. What happens is any feedback over 5Nm just gets clipped, and most rookies (from what I hear) can't tell the difference. The really high-end 20+ Nm wheels are for pros. The pedals are very basic, nothing fancy. No load cells or haptic feedback. I highly recommend getting the brake pedal stiffener kit (big difference) and the clutch pedal to go with it. Eventually, I will upgrade them as I get better at racing. I also bought the Moza sequential shifter to go with it (another excellent product) The Moza pit box software allows for plenty of adjustments, curves, and customization and is really easy to use and pulls those settings into iRacing. Very cool! I like with Moza that all their wheels and bases are interchangeable without adapters. Also you can switch to a formula-type wheel frame or larger round wheel very economically (under $80) by simply ordering a new wheel and transferring the control components to the new wheel with a few screws. I'll probably upgrade to the larger round wheel as I'm a big guy and not crazy about the flat D at the bottom of the included wheel.

Best bang for your buck in sim hardware.
Bought the wheel and pedal bundle (no performance kit or clutch) to use with Assetto Corsa and iRacing on PC. Purchased on sale for approximately $470 Pros: Build quality: Almost everything is made of durable metal. The desk clamp in particular is surprisingly very sturdy, and believe me, it needs to be. The quick release is extremely robust and when you snap that wheel on for the first time, it’s weirdly satisfying. The shifter paddles are metal and magnetic and in virtually no danger of ever breaking. Software: Moza Pit House software allows you to customize anything you’d possibly need to regarding the way the FFB and the wheel behave, and is effortless to install. You download it. You install it. You open it. The wheel just works. FFB: I’ve never used a belt driven wheel, but very glad I went with a direct drive for my first wheel. It’s extremely detailed and responsive, and frankly, wasn’t much more expensive than most belt driven alternatives. 5.5nm of torque is PLENTY for most people. As a beginner in sim racing, I can’t even imagine why I’d need more than that ever. Design: The rim is excellent and versatile. Very capable whether you’re doing GT, Formula, Drifting, Rally, etc. and if you wish, you can get a bigger or different style Moza orim and swap it out. Delivery/Assembly/Ease of use: the whole thing was so easy to assemble and set up, can barely remember doing it. Screwed four bolts to connect the wheelbase to the desk clamp. Other than that, it’s basically unbox, plug in, play. No missing parts. Arrived on time. Cons: The desk mount is a bit shallow, and the clamp doesn’t open wide enough to fit around my desk frame. I had to get a little creative, and unscrew the little stabilizers from the clamp bolts, and essentially just tight the clamp bolts directly into my desk’s metal frame. Over 100 hours of use later, it’s still entirely secure. This really is more of a flaw with my desk than the clamp. It’s plenty big enough for most desks without annoying metal frames, and your desk will break before this clamp does. But it’s something to keep in mind. The engine start button and radio button are kinda loose and they don’t feel great to press. Very minor complaint though and all the other buttons feel totally fine. The pedals truly are designed to be mounted to a rig. You can use them on the floor by putting them against the wall or a solid object, but unless you weigh or bolt the feet plate down, it will tilt backward with enough force. Overall assessment: Absolutely terrific quality for the price. Direct drive FFB with plenty of torque. Built to last. Very easy to setup, and software is very streamlined. If you’re serious about getting into sim racing, this is where to start.

Software Compatibility update
I have two racing games one is dirt two which I’ve had for a long time and have yet to be able to enjoy and the other game is Forza one would assume that since the name of the equipment is called Moza that they would be compatible. That was an incorrect assumption. It will not work with that racing game that I bought specifically for that set up. I was very excited to receive it and easily put it together, and download the software and got it working and calibrated but as soon as I boot into the game, it does not see any of the hardware. I have yet to find the solution online. I am very disappointed. I have no idea what software will or will not work with this hardware . I may have to send back. Have not been able to make contact with the company for help. Having said that, the Hardware is awesome! Very well-made quality product all around. I was very impressed and somewhat surprised at the quality of the hardware. Also, the packaging was first rate. Love the feel of the steering wheel and the paddles for shifting are perfect size. The base that holds the pedals is good until I add the stiffer mod for the break. without the mod I can easily use the pedals on my carpet with no issues but with the mod for the brake, it is so stiff that when I press it, it pulls the base up off the floor, so I removed it. If I don’t like the breaking without the mod, I will have to figure out a way to keep the base from moving when breaking especially when I get excited in a race, unfortunately I have yet to be able to race it as I do not have a compatible game even though I bought an up-to-date game , assuming that it would work. (Forza). I will try to find a game online that is compatible and purchase it so that I can enjoy the R5. Would recommend this product, especially at this price point. Update: I finally got with tech support. I had to bring myself up to spend on “Discord” and download software for support to use. Once I had everything ready I waited on the right time as it’s in China which is 12 hours ahead of me. I sent a message to my assigned tech support person, Jane. She made contact within minutes and took over. She got it fixed and I was up and running. First time I’ve experienced playing with this type of hardware. I was very surprised and impressed with the hardware. It changed the game big time. I played till the sun came up! Worth the wait. Shoutout to Jane. She was very good at solving the issue and very helpful in answering my questions. TomD

Worth it but you need to spend some more money
Absolutely great racing wheel if you're looking to get into sim racing. The extra jump in price between a G 29 and this is definitely worth it. The definite drawback behind this is you 100% need a base and something to resist the force feedback. You will definitely need some sort of Sim cockpit and or something sturdy enough to hold the wheel and pedals. The pedals definitely slide everywhere and are practically unusable without something Holding it in place.

Solid Entry-Level Direct Drive Setup
I looked hard at Fanatec and Cammus before buying this. The MOZA R5 just made more sense. It is direct drive, feels smooth, and gives plenty of detail without needing a huge rig or complicated setup. For the money, you are getting real force feedback that feels clean and consistent. Setup is easy, software is straightforward, and everything works without having to buy extra adapters or deal with ecosystem lock in. With Fanatec especially, the price climbs fast once you start adding what you actually need. Unless you are chasing absolute top end torque numbers, this does everything most sim racers want and does it well. It feels like you are paying for performance, not just a brand name. I am glad I chose this over the other options
