I am so happy with this product,but am fuming about the delivery of it,if it wasn’t that I went down stairs to get something from my car I would not have seen my parcel just left near the front door where anyone in that building could of picked it up,this is happening to many times for my liking

The colour is nice and the sensor works very well. It opens up when you walk past so love the confused look on any visitors faces when they walk past the bin and it keeps opening lol. There are a few cons: It doesn’t stay open very long so for kids (or anyone for that matter) emptying their plates out they need to make sure they keep an eye as they can end up emptying their plates on a closed bin! Due to the shape (I think) it can be difficult getting the full bag out as it keeps getting stuck. So it’s best to empty the bin out before it gets too full. Despite these small niggles, I still love this no touch bin, and the price was really good too

I had another Swan bin exactly like this one but in green. The lid opened much wider. On this one the lid only opens a little crack. Not good, given the cost!!! UPDATE! - The bin is now working perfectly. Swan customer relations team were very helpful and told me I just needed to take the batteries out for a few hours, then replace, and it the sensor would work. And it worked! I love the bin :)

I bought this a few years ago and didn’t get round to writing a review. Like you, I imagine, I wanted a stylish bin for my kitchen as it’s an essential item that is always on show. I did think this was a lot of money to pay for a bin, but I liked how it looked and thought it would be a good investment. It went to the tip some time ago. I had no issues with it for the first 6 months. No problems with the sensor; it wasn’t over-sensitive and it didn’t go off it someone happened to walk past. It went off as it should and the lid opened easily. But then it stopped working and the sensor didn’t activate at all. Changing the batteries didn’t fix it, and so I continued to use it as a manual bin by opening the lid by hand. I was disappointed but could live with it. Some time after that, the lid wouldn’t open at all. It was stuck in the closed position. I kept using the bin, but had take off the top section to put something in it, and then attach the lid again. This is a two hand job due to the weight of the motor. I had been googling like a demon during this time to try to fix the issue, and I discovered lots of others had the same problem. Please do not buy this bin. There’s s strong chance it will stop working after its initial honeymoon period. I don’t want you to waste your money and suffer the same frustrations that I did. This is an expensive item and I’d encourage you to explore other options or stick to a handsome manual bin.

Fabulous bin! Looks stylish and fashionably retro, but with a modern twist. The sensor for the hands free open lid function is genius, and has made my life so much easier in the kitchen. The inner bin liner area is designed so it tucks the top of the sack inside the bin, so looks very neat. No untidy plastic showing. Incredibly well made and very stylish for a bin, I love it!

Es ist schon nett, den Mülleimer nicht mehr mit den (schmutzigen) Händen zu öffnen, berührungslos kann schon praktisch sein. Alles in allem ein nettes Accessoire

Le capteur ne fonctionne pas du tout. (J'ai bien mis des piles neuves, dans le bon sens et mis l'interrupteur sur On). Je la garde car j'aime le design et la forme correspond à mon espace. De toute façon j'ai vu sur la notice qu'en mode automatique il y a une lumière clignotante en permanence et je n'ai pas envie d'avoir ça dans ma pièce. Il y a un anneau de retenue pour sac poubelle mais pas de bac intérieur. C'est assez léger donc facile à déplacer/vider dans un grand conteneur. (Je l'utilise pour papiers/cartons).
