I started off by replacing the bulb in the factory light on my 1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ with 2 LED bulb units. The problem with this is that the light shined out to the side instead of the front due to the bulb and housing design. Not satisfied with the level of output I decided to try this unit because it was fairly inexpensive.It seems well made and is much brighter than either the factory setup or the LED bulb swap that I did. I could have went with a LED under hood kit with strip lights, but I wanted to keep the OEM look. Overall I am happy with this light’s performance. You won’t be rebuilding the engine at night with it, but it’s good enough for checking battery connections, fluid levels, etc.I took pictures in a totally dark garage to simulate night time use. After taking each photo I compared it to what I was actually seeing with my eyes to ensure brightness levels matched to give as accurate of a representation as possible. The photos I uploaded are a very good illustration of the results you can expect from this unit. If the light is mounted higher up in your applications, the amount of light will be even better since it will have a wider throw. Overall, I highly recommend this light if you are looking for a nice bright factory replacement.

I got these to install in my 22 Ram 2500 Tradesman. It came with the wiring but not the lights. The hardest part of the whole installation was finding the wire on the passenger side. Driver side was easy. Once I got the wires located, they were plug-n-play.They are very bright and light up the footwells great. I would install them after I’ve seen how much difference they make.

Very bright and fit perfect on my 09 ram 1500

Recently bought a 2018 Ram 1500 Express that didn't have footwell lights, but the wiring is already there. These look exactly like the factory lights and they're LED. It's an easy upgrade and looks so much better. I already upgraded the map and dome lights to LED so all the interior lighting matches and looks nice.

Easy to install and works great

Light is bright. Went to start the van a few days later and the battery was dead.

I found that I had to make a small bracket to hold the light tight to the hood as the plastic holding bracket was somehow broken but after mounting it is a very bright light and I actually have the thought of buying another one and mounting it on the left underside of the hood.
