Very good home or office intercom. Strong signal. Good audio.
First off, since it is hard to tell from the pictures, this unit is aluminum color. You might guess that it is white, which I would have preferred, but it isn't. It is silver in color.That said, it is a very good, versatile intercom. The audio is very crisp and clear, and can be adjusted so it is quite loud if you use it in noisy environments.It uses radio signals instead of carrier current, which means that the stations do not have to all be on the same branch of your AC mains. You can put the units practically anywhere in your house and they will work. The range is sufficient for talking to an attached garage or shed, or even the house next door if close enough.I like the VOX function, which works nicely for monitoring a room (like a baby monitor). The CALL button produces a very noticeable ringing tone to alert you that someone wants to speak with you. The antenna can not be stowed while in use because the power jack is in-line with the antenna. Too bad; there is plenty of signal strength and I would have preferred not having the antenna raised.One claim made for this unit is laughable. Namely that it can be used as a walkie-talkie for outdoor use. The unit is quite large, can not be hand-held, has no internal battery, is not waterproof, is not rugged, is not suitable for the outdoors, and if put into a backpack the buttons could be easily activated. They even put this claim on the packaging so you can have a chuckle while unboxing it.

Don’t waste your money
Under no circumstances by this piece of crap. My husband was sick and I wanted to be able to hear him during the night and it didn’t really work I should’ve sent it back immediately. We have an upstairs so then we thought we’d just use the call button. Waited too long to really try it ...it doesn’t work at all you can’t hear the person. Everything is garballed. And then we started picking up other frequencies and noises would come out of the thing. A total total waste of money

Does what I need
Work well, do exactly what we need, placed it next to the bed for medical emergencies, BUT the blue light on the numbers is so bright it lights up the room at night. Had to make a cover to hid the light.

Worthless, bad reception and arrived broken.
The item did not last a month. The item sent by Amazon - Sold by Amazon, but was defective on one box. They had to have know the item was cracked. Ad said only "repackaged". Not true.

Work great.
They work great. My husband's work shop is far enough away from the house that it inconvenient to walk there especially in bad weather. We use them daily to ask each other questions and give information.

Looking for Warranty
This item worked great for about 3 months... Then one unit quit transmitting. And now cannot find anybody to warranty this item for us. No response to the email address listed for warranty! Otherwise a great unit, we must have found the LEMON in the bunch.

Good but...
These are good, but the AC cords don't want to stay in. The slighted bump of the table knocks the cord out of place
