glacio Ball Ice Cube Tray and Big Ice Cube Molds for Whiskey, Slow-Melting, 100% Silicone, No-Plastic, Easy Release, Ideal for Gifting and Elevating Cocktails

The two best features of this duo compared to other makers: 1) The cubic silicone tray has a lid on it, which will help a lot with preventing odor absorption and ice sublimation while stored in a freezer after the ice is made. Although I generally advocate using one's big ice cubes in a steady cadence ( :-) ), I've certainly had times where a week or more will pass before I pull the next cube. So many cocktail choices, so little time... 2) The sphere molds, made entirely of silicone, have a flexibility to them that enables pulling the sphere without having to run warm water over the mold to get the ice to release. This is a big improvement over some other makes that use a more rigid plastic base container that you can't flex enough to pop out the ice without warming it with water.In particular with the sphere molds, even though they are two hemispherical halves, water does not leak out of the seam when filling them, so at least initially, this is great engineering of the material. If you fill these to slightly less than completely full through the fill hole, then you won't have any ice expression outside of the mold as the water freezes and expands slightly.Because the product is silicone, it will eventually absorb "freezer burn" or "old ice" odors unless you are very scrupulous. But for the price point, replacing the material every few years is not really an issue.Overall this is a well-engineered product set that is easy to use and gives excellent results.

So far I am enjoying my Glacio product the cube tray and looking forward to using the globe 🌎 ice tray. Both are well made 👌🏾 and so far the cube tray is very easy to use. Very nice size cubes!

These ice cubes are perfect for drinks or keeping something cold for a long time. I had to bring food to my mother recently and used an insulated bag to transport the food with a few cubes wrapped in foil. The ice didn't melt during the 30 minute car ride. Still kept it's shape. Great purchase.

These seem to work as they should. My only issue is that the square cubes get stuck when trying to remove them. The corners dig into the mold and the mold starts to stretch and look white (Like overly stressed plastic that has been bent too much) this color does not stay that way and there does not seem to be any permanent damage. However it gets annoying trying to push the cube out only to have it constantly get stuck. I mostly wanted this for the round ice anyways. These work pretty well. Just make sure you do not fill the round mold all the way, or if you do squeeze the mold and let a little water out. The ice/water will expand more than you think when it freezes and push a bunch of water out the top if the molds are topped off.

Love these. Wish they made bigger ones though.

I purchased this item after being disappointed by a Christmas gift to was supposed to offer the perfect whiskey ice wedge. Upon receipt, I immediately, cleaned and filled and put away in the freezer. The next day I pulled out the ice ball maker, and easily removed a perfect ice ball for a drink. The ice ball stays intact and offers a great chilled drink without unnecessary melting ice. I have since used the ice cube tray, and it work equally well. Personally I prefer the larger ice ball over the cube, due to its larger size.

Very easy to use, keeps solid for a long time

I am updating my review to note that after about 2 years, the process of removing ice cubes from the mold (which is sometimes rather difficult as they just really get stuck in there), has resulted in the mold developing tears. It's gotten to the point where one of the cube slots has just completely torn open and is no longer useable. I'm down to 4 working cube molds, and a fifth that is damaged to the point that it leaks about 20% of the water out before it's frozen over.The two sphere molds still work fine, although I use them much less frequently than the cube.
