Disappointing
I had high hopes, but the birds were not that keen. Why not? Has anyone ever noticed that there is no mention on any birding website of red dari as a food for songbirds? It's only mentioned by companies selling birdseed. That's because it isn't an appropriate food for them. Result: Hundreds of discarded red seeds. Another major ingredient to sodden up your garden grass: maize bits. If you want pigeons, then this is the bird food for you! No seriously, one has to feel sorry for those starving songbirds, pecking away to get at the four or five actual edible (sunflower) seeds per fat ball....*sigh*

Birds love it!

Do the birds love it? Yes they do! At one time there were eight small birds feeding. They absolutely love these fat balls. Good value, great texture and obviously great ingredients otherwise the birds would not eat it. I hope you enjoy watching my short video of the birds enjoying the fat balls.

Hard as Nails
These are the worst fatballs I've ever bought, they were so hard the birds wouldn't eat them. I had to get a hammer and chisel on them to break them up for the crows to eat. Won't buy these again

Birds didn't like these fatballs
Ended up in the bin because the birds wouldn't eat them. They prefer garden centre ones.
