I tried out my diffuser using USB power and everything worked fine. I have not tried using batteries yet. the instructions say to use "a few" drops of oil on the pad, then put the pad in the diffuser. I tried it with three drops, but three drops don't seem to be quite enough oil for the pad. I changed the pad and used more than three drops of a different scented oil. Instead of using my one drop-sized measuring spoon for the second go-around, I poured a very small amount of oil onto the pad. I do not have a measure of how much I used, but it did not completely soak the pad by any means. The size of the oil spot on the pad was maybe 1/4 inch diameter. That seems to be enough. I can smell the scent and it is not overpowering. So far, so good!

Useless. Yes, it is small, cute, portable but honestly.......no comparison to the "with water" small USB diffuser I already have. The clothe disc dries out, pretty much immediately and nope, 3 - 5 drops just doesn't do it. This diffuser is very convenient for use in my 7th grade classroom. Instead of heating water, it heats up little cotton circles to produce the aromatherapy. I drop anywhere from 4 - 10 drops of any single essential oil alone or as a mixture to liven up my desk in the mornings. The smell does not travel throughout the room like a normal water diffuser nor does it last that long, which is why I gave this 4 stars; it stays located within a foot or two of the area around this tiny diffuser and only lasts about 2 hours. It doesn't take up much space at all (I have a TINY desk) and it's easy to plug into one USB port of my computer and let it run.

This worked great. I was worried about diffusers in my house with pets, because some of the oils can have harmful long term effects on pets. But this doesn’t shoot a mist or anything up. The fan blows through the pad with the oil on it, so it just scents the air. Small and the soothing light change will not effect you if your trying to sleep.

I bought this item to use on my desk at work. I wanted a waterless one so I didn’t have to worry about spills. I really like the size and ease of use. Unfortunately, the fan in the unit is hardly even noticeable. It isn’t strong enough to circulate the scent of the oils around. I’ll be looking for a different one.

Just does not work. I’ve yet to find a waterless one that does work.

Works very well with essential oils. I like the different colors it turns and it’s very quiet.

I am so disappointed! I ordered this thinking it would be perfect for my office and it arrived and seemed exactly what I wanted. Sad part - doesn't actually work. Very rare to buy and item that doesn't turn on new out of the package but I understand it happens. On the fence if I'll try reordering this same item. The size, design, and ease is exactly what I am looking for, now I doubt the quality.
