Worked For Win11 File Mang, but Not All Apps
I can see why it may have issues with some PCs. My Win11 showed the file BMPs, but my Paint and Libre couldn't read the files or displayed them poorly. My Win10 laptop had no problems and the older Paint displayed the pics perfectly. Never throw away a PC, bc you just never know when you'll need something really old.

Awesome and so easy!!
It's the first time I've ever seen one of these. lol. It is exactly what I needed! My DVR was messing up and losing some things we wanted to keep, some shows we cherished. Now with this I just plugged it in, selected special things we didn't want to lose, and transferred them onto my new floppy drive with no problems at all. We love how it performs and how easy it is! It's a great buy for the money!

Item worked ok.
I wrote a review regarding the late arrival of the item. It was not the fault of the seller so it should be changed. The item itself worked ok. It installed fairly quickly in a windows 10 computer. There were quite a few reviews that claimed the drive failed to read disks. I purchased this item in order to be able to create files that I could use on an old computer that can not be upgraded. I had mixed results using various disks- as I noted others experienced. Many of the disks were not readable in the device. What I determined was that the disks are old and were not readable in this device OR in the original equipment. Those that I was able to read in the old computer, I could also read in this device. Those that I could not read in this device, I also could not read in the old computer. Unfortunately many of the old disks were not readable in either device but it is not the fault of this drive. It does what it should using good disks, but be aware that if you are trying to get those old pictures off of old disks, it may not work.

Received a working 3.5 inch floppy drive
I received a working 3.5 inch floppy drive on the day promised for delivery (I live in a small city). Mougerk emailed me a set of instructions for use of this drive before the drive arrived. I used Windows 7 on both a desktop and and a laptop, and I was able to read all types of 3.5 inch floppies I had. The drive is also able to write and format disks. I cannot vouch for longevity of this drive yet. The drive does not function like the old built-in drives we remember. You cannot go from disk-to-disk viewing contents. Plug into USB and wait for software to load and make sure drive has stopped making noises. Then you can check through Windows Explorer to make sure the drive is recognized or insert floppy first. I have to remove the disk and close Explorer before working with the next floppy disk. (You just leave the drive plugged in until you are finished with it.) Any troubles might be a bad disk or no program that can read the disk, but can be other reasons.

UPDATE: totally worthless!!!
So, this drive worked for a few disks, then it started acting like every disk put into it needed to be formatted. It is "plug and play" but it is totally unreliable! I'm throwing it away because it is total trash and too late for a refund. I suspected there was no way every disk I had was bad, so I got this other device instead and used it with an old floppy drive and I was able to read pretty much all the data on multiple disks. This is what finally worked via USB with Windows 10, provided you have an old floppy drive you know works: IYSHOUGONG 1.44MB 3.5" Floppy Drive Connector 34 PIN 34P to USB Cable Adapter PCB Board

Super easy to use
If, like me, you have a bunch of old 3.5 floppy disks laying around, but no computer any more that sports a drive, this is a huge remedy. It really doesn't get any easier that this to use. Plug it in to a USB port, insert a disk, retrieve the contents. It is a bit of a slow process compared to today's standards, but the ability to retrieve material you once though was gone for good, more than makes up for the copying delay. I have been able to retrieve pictures from the 80's and 90's that I have not seen since that time. If you have some of these laying around, I recommend this option as opposed to services that may charge way more and take a good deal of time. Not to mention the potential of your mail going missing.

First one was DOA, but the second was mostly fine.
The first one that came in was dead, so got a replacement immediately. The replacement that was sent worked decently, but had a hiccup or two. I had a couple of read errors, but unplugged it, plugged it back in and it worked the second time. I don't know if I'd buy it again if needed, and I certainly don't know if I trust it longterm, but... it worked this time.

Works Great With Windows XP, 7 and 8.1
This Floppy 3.5 USB 3.0 External Floppy Disk Drive (Plug and Play) was a Teac Model No. FD-05PUB before Mougerk took it over, using the same Model No., and updated it to conform with our modern day computers and Operating Systems (OS). The printing on the box states that the Floppy Disk Drive comes with a CD-ROM containing a driver (or drivers?) and a User’s Guide. Not true! The box contained only the Floppy Disk Drive. I have three PCs with Windows OS installed. They are as follows: one Desktop running Windows XP, one Desktop running Windows 7 and one Laptop running Windows 8.1. I am happy to say that, yes the Floppy Drive is ”Plug and Play”, yes it is USB 3.0 and yes this External Floppy Drive works great with all three of my computers and their installed OS. I liked it so well I bought another one. New? I don’t think so. Updated? I believe so. Watch out for the Internet because so many of these External Floppy Disk Drives need the CD-ROM containing the drivers. The driver update companies are cashing in on this problem.
