Great for headphone and speaker control
My setup is a pc connected to two monitors with a stereo cable from my main monitor to the line in on my pc so that I can mix the audio when I'm playing ps5/steamdeck/switch on my main monitor whilst watching YouTube on my second monitor. I originally had a usb headphone and a soundbar connected to the audio out on my pc. I would then use my streamdeck to change output from headphones to speakers. I have recently invested in some noise cancelling headphones that connect via 3.5mm trs stereo jack, but I have to unplug this for output to the speakers. I also noticed some hum when I moved the mouse. I got this hoping that the output via usb would remove the hum from the mouse movement. This works perfectly. I have this set as the audio out from my pc. My headphones plugged in the front and my speakers in the back and it outputs my pc to both at the same time and has the dial to adjust the volume. The line in on this device will stop the usb input from working, you can't have both at the same time. I'm not an audiophile so the sound quality is good by my standards. The build quality is adequate and so far I have zero problems with it. It takes its power from the USB, so if you just have line in plugged in and no usb, this may be a problem. I have not tested the microphone in. If your headphones have a combined microphone and trrs plug, you may need to purchase a trrs to trs adapter (looks like a Y shaped wire to split the microphone signal from the headphone signal) For my use, this was a great little gamble compared to a much larger sound mixer.

Superb Quality & Sound
I bought a pair of DT770 pro 80ohm and although they sounded ok running through PC soundcard it just felt I wasn't getting the most out of them so decided to try a Dac/amp and happened to find a review of the NEOHIPO H1 USB DAC Headphone Amplifier, this is an inexpensive amp compared to many others and I've been completely blown away at the difference, very solidly built and oozes that this is a quality product. I thought I would need audio cables to link it to the PC but you only need the USB lead that it comes with as it completely by-passes the PC soundcard. As good for gaming as listening to music, instructions are clear and all I have done is change the sampling from 16bit to 24bit 96khz (Studio Quality) via the computer. So if your buying a good set of headphones just for listening to music or gaming then do yourself a favour and get this DAC amp (handles 60 to 150 ohm) I have seen other reviews that mention popping but I've not experienced any of that and it could be down to my powered USB multi-port that is separate to the PC motherboard. It's like I've fallen in love with music all over again ~ Top Marks & Highly Recommended

Easy to set up and use fantastic
a fantastic little preamp especially as an addition to a laptop allows you full control of sound and speakers and whatever else you may want to add into it it’s worked flawlessly is incredibly easy to set up as it requires no software would highly recommend it enjoy.

WOW! Game changer!
WOW! What an absolute game changer this little DAC/AMP has been for my DT770 pro 80ohm' headphones, its like they have been brought to life, Honestly incredible - im tempted to order one of the premium DAC/AMP offerings now just to see how much better sound quality can get but this is seriously worth the ££!

Lovely compact audio interface
Solid item - nice feel to it - not cheap and plastic. Works excellently with laptop - recognised as soon as plugged in.

Marginally amplified sound, some distortion at max
Marginally amplified sound, some distortion at max Wasnt suitable enough to power my Sony MDR V 500 profession dj headphones... I think i need a amp that has a independent power supply

Optical output does not work on PC
Really disappointed that the Optical output on the H1 doesn't work on my new build PC - I suspect it's merely a headphone amp only. Will use the aux cable until I get another Soundblaster G8, which I have on my other PC.

Plug and play
Bought this to go with a pair of DT 900 Pro X and it works just fine, it was a case of plug and play, my PC recognised it straight away without having to download drivers.

First impression: heavy, it's all metal and not cheap at all! Great build for the price. Appears to be same as Syba units, but may differ internally. Pros: Windows 10 detected immediately and made it the audio device. You may need to set it as default depending on your system. Decent sound for an inexpensive DAC/AMP with 24 bit, 96 Hz 94 dB. No audible noise or hissing. If you need better like 192 Hz or 112 dB you should be looking at Topping or Schitt dacs at 3 times the price This is perfect for my computer sound system, though. Great controls, volume control is large and smooth. All outputs are on all the time, so you can use multiple devices at the same time. (such as multiple headphones) Love having both 1/4 and 1/8 headphone connections. Have used with both 40- and 50-ohm phones and no problem driving either. Plenty of volume. I use the rear RCA jacks to connect to my powered speakers. Great value for the price. Cons: Uses a micro (not mini) USB connection and it is only USB2. Can still use highest sample rates with mine, though. Since all outlets are active all the time, you need to be able to turn your speaker system off while using headphones or both will play. Need to remember to set Windows sound to utilize higher sample and bit rates. However, front indicator lights will remind you if you don't. Overall evaluation: Perfect for when you want significant upgrade from internal sound, but don't need audiophile caliber. Highly recommend this DAC.
